Who wants links from all their competitors?

OP, bravo! Great hack and clever use of rel=canonical which is working as well as 301 and tend not to pass link based penalties through.

That is a sneaky and awesome idea. Respect! I actually see how I can apply this to a few of my sites.

You must be making millions if you have time to go around correcting peoples posts.

Yes us multi billionaires have time on our hands to correct people on their grammatical errors. Glad I could help.

Seems like a brilliant idea OP, just trying to get my head round the cannonical.
so create a blog, do a bunch of interviews with the sites, do you link back to their sites or just name them in the posts?
Can you just have a 1 page blog with a bunch of posts, then cannonical the blog homepage to your website homepage?

I have a question, does this pass down the entire backlink to the canonicaled page or just the "link juice".

Congrats on your Success, A little bit Work But worth it when you see Results in SERP.

Thanks for Sharing.

As far as i know, rel=canonical does not work across websites - it works only on the same domain... so that's how i asked exactly how you used.

I thought this to. Any confirmation otherwise?

Thinking outside the box will always be a good way, congratulations OP ;)
