Is it always better to outsource your content writing?

I used to work at an SEO company and the owner would outsource a lot of his content writing to people. They're be a crazy mix-match of content, even to the point where articles sounded siimilar.

I guess my question is, is it better to do that in the long run?

Only because you pay for HQ content does not mean that you always get the quality you paid for.

It really depends on your budget and what you are doing. If you are an SEO angency, your better having high quality content writers and/or maybe even in house writers rather than outsourcing to everyone and anyone.

That depends on your goals. Here's my story. We created a blog about SEO (yep... the stuff re-written a thousand of times for the last couple of years). It was really difficult for us to write not necessarily something new, but from a different point of view. We outsourced content from recognizable freelance writers (and sometimes they aren't cheap) and the outcome was really satisfying. Not only from an engagement point of view, because they brought their audience to us, but from SEO perspective as well. It was easier for us to rank for those keywords as the stuff was really high quality.

As a conclusion I could say - if it brings you the quality you need and help you get the goals you want it's worth the money.

Yes, it is if you're outsourcing it to the right guy as there's a lot more stuff which you can do yourself in the meanwhile to increase the profits.

Easier? Yes. Better? Not always. Obviously the quality should be worth the amount spent, and don't be scared to pay more for better quality. Personally, I don't trust anyone to do anything, so I used to write all my articles myself at one point.

Yes, of course If you are eligible for spending money after content writing work then It is great to spend for professional High Quality contents.

That depends, are you an EXPERT in your subject matter? If you are then you are better off writing your own content.
Do you have time to sit down and write AT LEAST every week? If yes then you might be better off writing your own content.
Do you have money to spend on content? If so MAYBE you are better off outsourcing content.

For me I outsource some content, some I write myself. I manage multiple sites and cannot possibly keep up by doing it all myself.

The more you can spend the better the content USUALLY. Find professional writers that were either teachers, editors or writers for newspapers or blogs if you can. Cheap content is ok for your web properties as long as it is unique but for your money site you need to give your readers something worth reading and linking to.
