Hi guys I'm new to this forum. Chanced upon it while searching for seo techniques! I'm doing SEO for a firm atm, I get it from page 10 to 2 for 2 selected niche phrases with high impressions and search volume for natural listing.
I post a backlink on a disqus comment I believe for a website but it turns out to be a nofollow one but it keeps on adding ok nofollow backlinks to th firm's website. I posted once and there are like 10 20plus nofollow backlinks from that website. Any idea how do I remove them or stop this scenario from worsening as I feared it may drop from page 2 to 3 4 5 6 etc...
Worried seo consultant here.

I don't think a couple of dozen *natural* comments from disqus will affect your rankings. My guess the drop is more of a coincidence and most likely caused by something else (dance, content change, even negative SEO can be considered). Again, a couple of dozen comments, hell even if spammy, won't cause a drop.

you absolutely no need to worry unless some one else did NSEO.

I do high PR ******** backlinks therefore it increase significantly. It was on page 2 no. 1 -and then after 30 no follow backlinks by that website is built, it drop to page 2 no.3 . I find it a significant drop though? Any advice??

Well few comment backlink are not that horrible but still if you wish to remove them then the shortest way is to use google disavow tool. (Google It)

Disvow tool n manual web 2.0s...

Disvow tool n manual web 2.0s...

Why do some people insist on doing things manually? Is it because you wanna waste time or something? Or is it because you like the extra work, for work's sake? Sheesh...

there are few things that can be done only manually. Creating Nice Web 2.0s with different templates and removing stock stuffs cant be done via softwares.

You dont need to undo anything. Disqus comments do not contribute to SEO.
You're going down the SERP for other reasons.

Don't worry. Add quality link from authority website, you can buy the link or guest post. Use random anchor text and build link for inner pages also.

I'm sorry I'm certain disqus comments do play a part to SEO. PR 5/6 androidauthority , disqus comments and is a ******** one somemore.

Lol ive been at SEO for 1 month now and I feel more qualified than tons of SEO guys working for real companies.

Is it really that easy to land an SEO job for a firm? I've seen this a lot OP is no exception.

Also op if you used a generic anchor then you are perfectly fine.

Yes, it is. Especially small local businesses have zero clue of how to market themselves on the Internet, nevermind how to do SEO.

Yea I get that the companies dont.

But when I want to build a fence, since i dont know how I wouldnt hire toothless louie who lives down the street with a sign writen on cardboard that says "fences, ill getter done" .
I would call a reputable worker to do it for me.

Just because its the internet I dont see why it would be different, you would think companies wouldnt hire OP that they would look for something local with a good rep or something on the interwebz with a good rep.

IDK i dont get how this shit flies

Can you not just login to your disqus account and edit the comments ?

I have done this in the past to remove links myself

Uhm... When it comes to the Internet, most companies don't know their ass from their elbow, so they have no fucking clue who's reputable or not. They often hire people/companies by asking employees/clients/etc. "do you know a guy who can do this?"

Hahah that is so true!

My worry is that you called yourself an SEO Consultant when coming here asking if a few no-follow blog comment links are bad.

Good luck though

exactly. And if they can't find anyone that way they'll call a few local companies and meet in person.
