HuaVID - The next video sharing site?

I just stumbled upon a website called HuaVID which basically is a website just like YouTube but where you are allowed to upload what movie and TV series you want. So from what I understand it will be member contributed content.
The site is not live yet but they have beta signup. The sad part is that they will use invited members only.


I think that it can be a cool website and a place where I can watch and upload my series in peace and always have them available, either on PC or Phone.
What do you think about this website and it's supposed purpose?

I've never heard of this before. As crappy as youtube is getting, I can see some sort of video sharing alternative gaining momentum.

Me neither, but I think they are new.
Especially if they as they allow to upload TV series and movies. I like the idea of being able to stream whatever I should want to when taking the train for instance, and not be limited to the poor Netflix library.

I signed up beta yesterday so ill hope I get an invite.

Oh I wish that were true. But this account is more than 6 days old, why not create a new account? . And if it were mine why would I present it as not mine? It was just a site I thought I should share and might get some thoughts on.

And Jeff, I don't think they are competing with YT. They are aiming for TV series and movies i guess
