Do you SEO Guys Really Make Money??

I guess the title could come off as offensive, but I am not trying to be. I have always been a paid search guy, but I am looking to diversify and have spent a month lurking and reading everything here.

My question isnt, "Does Black Hat SEO Work", my question is do you guys make money from your efforts? The reason I ask, I see a lot of case studies and I do a lot of research on affiliate sites that I find, and it seems like people are making like $200 a month off amazon affiliate sites and thinking that is huge.

I dont know if I am missing something. I take that back. I know I am missing something. I just dont want to get deep into this for $200 a month. Do you guys just create 100's of money sites? Is that how you do it?

Anyway, I bought GSA Ser, Scrapebox, a VPS, some private proxy packages and Kontent Machine after reading a lot here. I am going to give it a try and see what happens. Im investing in the future, even though I dont see the value in SEO just yet, but that is only from the case studies done by affiliates.

Just try! Nothing stops you from making 200$ a month or 10k you just have to try. I have a friend that do leather work average salary is 2k euros in France and he makes near 9k because he is working for a luxury brand.

The point is there is money to be made with anything the thing that makes you bank or not is the HOW. It is just like school you can ask a question and be an average student or think for 5 minutes and ask the GOOD question that gonna make you stand out.

basically all is blackhat, just don't spam and use your brain. If you google, there is a lot of open case studies where people show you how they are earning money using seo.. For the obvious reason, don't pay to learn unless the guy offers free tutorials and his info some sense, a lot of scam out there.

Yeah, look at all the services offered here or anywhere else. Just remember, when you see an advertisement it means that there is money in there, if you see a lot of it, there's a lot of money in there.

* I am pretty new to the SEO game compared to the other guys here but I like when people say SEO is dead, because I know that there is less competition when people give up. To me, SEO is not harder, it just changes and we have to figure out the change and implement around it. Not to go the same old route and say that SEO does not work. It will always work. Period.

I think that you underestimate the money that can be made with SEO.

I think that you misunderstand the point Bartholomew was making... his point didn't go to 'the money that can be made', his point went to what people are actually making, or not.

And I tend to agree with his view on the distribution of income - the vast majority possibly just don't 'get it', whilst the few that do, bank well

I mean if you are doing PPC and have been for some time then you obviously do keyword research and see the sheer search volume out there for some terms...obviously people are making money from SEO. Shit loads of money.

But if you are looking for someone to say yeah I made $47,683.67 last moth by doing SEO - no dice. Anyone who posts about earnings like that is stretching for attention and 99% full of shit.

Want to simple way to see that SEO makes people money...

Look at the Inc 500 awards each year...you will see SEO companies that are doing millions of dollars - double digit millions. And a lot of them suck - have 100's of complaints online - yet businesses fork over their money to them.

Yes, people make money from SEO. Both providers and the companies hiring them.

There is no real help that can be given in that thread. OP ask do you make $$$ ? Of course some does but the way he asked was well really strange "Do you guys make money ? I have bought all the tools but if you don't make money I'm out"

The best advice I can give you is DO NOT BUY WSO-s where people claim to earn 500 hundred billion dollars and they sell their guide for you for $7. If you do buy it, then you are a complete retard who should be poor because your analysis ability is not good enough to bypass the large amounts of bullshit you will meet in your way to SEO.

Also.. I don't suggest reading all the time. Read, do it.. and then see how it works.. then read more and try again. This is how SEO works. Testing and analysis is/are the key(s).

I think IM, however, is a bit like day trading/forex trading, in that possibly only 1% of people who 'try it' make good money from it (mid to high 6 figures and into 7 figures/yr) in the long term, however, I suggest that same 1% are the group of people who could actually make money from anything, they just choose IM, possibly because of the incredibly huge net margins (mine are >95% most months) and reasonably simple operating model compared with offline businesses.

This is DEAD on. The people who make bank are entrepreneurs at heart. They understand the process of rapid failure and constantly adjusting their strategy. They NEVER give up. They would succeed with paid traffic, social media, email, etc. SEO is just their avenue. There are also people like myself who LOVE SEO. I can't stay away from it, tried to quit twice. I love the process and love the community. Just how it is.

@OP, I'm exactly in the same situation as you bro, I recently made the exact investments as you did, and I'm working very hard to achieve results. I still can't confirm that SEO works for my self, but I'm 100% sure our colleagues here aren't lying to us, but I can only tell you tha IM works, as I'm a living example of making +10,000$ in just a couple of months (PM me if you want screen shots, it may help you with the motivation), and I RED, I RED, I RED for MONTHS, untill I managed to start making good money. I bought a motorcyle, a great smartphone, and I invested a lot of my money in my house (which me and my family were building).
Those methods aren't working anymore, so I've strengthen my balls, and I'm starting all over again. Can u imagine how hard it must be for me to go from HERO to ZERO, and now try to get up again? Well, it's simple, I BELIEVE!
