I guess the title could come off as offensive, but I am not trying to be. I have always been a paid search guy, but I am looking to diversify and have spent a month lurking and reading everything here.

My question isnt, "Does Black Hat SEO Work", my question is do you guys make money from your efforts? The reason I ask, I see a lot of case studies and I do a lot of research on affiliate sites that I find, and it seems like people are making like $200 a month off amazon affiliate sites and thinking that is huge.

I dont know if I am missing something. I take that back. I know I am missing something. I just dont want to get deep into this for $200 a month. Do you guys just create 100's of money sites? Is that how you do it?

Anyway, I bought GSA Ser, Scrapebox, a VPS, some private proxy packages and Kontent Machine after reading a lot here. I am going to give it a try and see what happens. Im investing in the future, even though I dont see the value in SEO just yet, but that is only from the case studies done by affiliates.

Thanks

We don't.

Its a waste of time man.

That's what I though, but since I have bought the tools and invested a lot of sleepless nights to learn, Im still gonna have to do it.

Seriously though, how does anyone make real money off of Amazon affiliate sites when they are generating like $200 a month?

Money?
I thought people just did it for fun
Seems like I am missing something here

Your post is one HUGE contradiction.
You say you've been reading "everything" on this forum for a month, and yet, you don't know whether SEO works.
You don't know if SEO works, and yet, you spent money on GSA Search Engine Ranker, Kontent Machine, Scrapebox, proxies, and a VPS.
You say you're investing in the future, by buying these products, and yet, you don't see any value in it.
You've done all these case-studies and know that $200 is what people are earning. If you know so much, then why are you here, posting this? It seems you believe you already know the answer. What could anyone here possibly tell you? Perhaps you should spend another month reading this forum, first. Why go purchase all these tools, if you only saw the potential of $200/month?

You have to go fish where the big fish are, and if there are lots of them there it is easy to catch big fish. Some people go fishing in puddles for small fish.

Jist like with other traffic sources, I was a noob and didnt understand, but I invested time and money to learn. So, even though I dont yet see the value in SEO, I understand that the reason I dont understand the value is because I am still new to this. I know the only true way to learn is to test, which is why I made the investment.

Really, I was just hoping for some more motivation. That was all.

Yes, and OP, please remember that just because you buy some fancy fishing rod, that you'll go to the biggest ocean and catch the large fish, without knowing what you're doing. Sure, you may get lucky a couple times, but most professional fishermen don't rely on luck.

More motivation? This is the internet. You're one Google/Bing/MSN/Yahoo/AskJeeves/AOL/Altavista/Excite/Dogpile/Metacrawler/Youtube search away from all the motivation you could ever hope for. That's a weak excuse for posting this.

I do not earn anything, i do IM to waste my fucking time on fucking things. :banghead:

Keep in mind most blackhat SEOs are not aiming to make money off Amazon affiliate offers. The real money is in straight up affiliate offers and lead gen. I'm actually a huge fan of paid traffic, but it requires rounds and rounds of optimization and testing, which isn't cheap AT ALL.

I figured I would go to the source. It was the searches on Google and here in the Follow Along section that led me to ask the question, because I see people bragging about Affiliate revenue generated from SEO and it is peanuts. Its the internet's fault I asked you.

To some people in some countries $200 is a very lot of money, to others it is nothing. People who are happy about making $200 a month probably come from countries where the average wage is $5 a week or something like that.

Please share your experience in near future - May be you get some success. But I think SEO is dead now - I mean black hat techniques...matt cutts sucks. :rocketwho

Then I apologize. As mickyfu pointed out, it you have to investigate each situation differently. To one person, $200 can be worth a lot. To others, $200 can be worth $200. And then there are those that see their $200 as the first income they've produced online, which IS cause for celebration. You should celebrate each of your victories. People are making money. There are some of us that are making $0/day. There are some of us that are making $5/day. There are some of us that are making $5,000/day. There are some of us that are making $10-100,000+ in a week. It all depends on you and how much you're willing to put into developing yourself. If you doubt the potential of your business, then your doubts are probably accurate. If you believe in the possibilities of your business, then your beliefs are probably accurate.

Internet Marketing isn't like your 9-5. In your 9-5, you can literally work your ass off and never even get a promotion. It's because you're using your efforts to build someone else's dream. When you become an IM, you can work the same hours, just as hard as you would for your employer, and you can get a raise, every day! It's because you're building YOUR dream. IM is simple. Figure out what works for you, then take massive, laser-focused correct action (IPAs), and then figure out how to scale it.

You may read the thread in my signature. It may help to get you going.

And by the way, IPA = Income-Producing Activity. These are where the bulk of your time should be spent working on.
