Do you SEO Guys Really Make Money??

That's what I though, but since I have bought the tools and invested a lot of sleepless nights to learn, Im still gonna have to do it.

Seriously though, how does anyone make real money off of Amazon affiliate sites when they are generating like $200 a month?

Haha I was joking man. I don't use clickbank therefore don't have any commissions in there to show off.

$200/mo from Amazon Affiliates is really small amount. People make as much as $20k a month from SEO traffic and Amazon.

SEO worked years ago, still does and will keep working as long as you're doing it right. People will always search for stuff on search engine and they'll always click on one or more of the first few results. So I don't see why you think SEO won't work.

Having all the tools is one thing but putting them to use wisely is another. Learn the strategies and the patterns, not "methods" to rank for something quickly. Figure out what makes sites rank well in Google? Is it good content? Is it links? Social? Or a combination of all?

Figured? Good. Now go get some work done. Build those links, social signals, infographics, whatever.

My point is, SEO is a multi million or probably billion dollar industry and there's plenty of money for everyone to make. People who don't make money from it are people who CHOOSE not to make money, its not Google's or anyone else's fault but their own.

PS: Sorry for the cluttered post. I'm half asleep.

Haha Wish I could say my choice is not to make money with SEO.

Would you mind explaining why you think people not earning from seo "choose" not to make money?

(That comment kinda got me and I'm just trying to see why he says that)

I've been trying to rank sites for 7-8 months now without success and that doesn't mean I choose not to make money.

I would like your opinion about my situation and other people that "choose" not to make money with seo.

[This is not a rant/whinning, I'm just trying to know what he things]

6-7 months is a long time and if you haven't seen ANY results yet, maybe re-think your strategy/plan. Because certainly you're doing something wrong or the other guy who's ranking at #1 is doing something you're not doing. So you can't say SEO doesn't work. Its just that people can't figure out things themselves and then claim it doesn't work at all.

By "choosing not to make money" I didn't mean people say no to money (seriously, who would?). What I meant is someone tries to rank their site using a couple of tools and when their site doesn't rank, they call it quits - they give up. That is THEIR decision and THEY are responsible for it.

Most certainly, there's money being made with SEO. So if one says "well I can't make money with it", they're essentially CHOOSING not to make money with it. Not that one CAN'T. But they DON't.

Hopefully this gets my point across. I'm too sleepy right now to write/word it better than this.

We do this for fun, and we enjoy it.

Oh what? I thought SEO was for picking up chicks!? Nothing sexier than an "SEO Guru".

Lets just say I make 85k a month from SEO. There is no way in hell id come on here telling any of you anything. This is why you see everyone doing journeys to 5 dollars a day which is laughable, but still a good place to start. Everyone starts somewhere right?

before i was making $100 a day on SEO way back 2007, but now SEO is very hard thats why i turn into email marketing.

Amazon sites are a great starting point to make money online, however, as Laubster said, the real money is in your own products and lead gen :)

I think IM, however, is a bit like day trading/forex trading, in that possibly only 1% of people who 'try it' make good money from it (mid to high 6 figures and into 7 figures/yr) in the long term, however, I suggest that same 1% are the group of people who could actually make money from anything, they just choose IM, possibly because of the incredibly huge net margins (mine are >95% most months) and reasonably simple operating model compared with offline businesses.

SEO keeps changing, it never died -- Black hat is a testing method, you have to test it and if it works, then that's good or skip it, if don't work and find another method -- I do black hat in my many sites and happy with results so far.

When I joined blackhatworld I was making a small amount per month already from 100% whitehat sites, I didn't really know what blackhat was.

to be honest it took me ages to start making money from what I learned here, and I almost gave up a few times, and I also thought that no one could be really making money here, because I couldn't ;-)

Then I decided to get rid of everything other than the sites and methods that I thought showed promise and really focus my efforts on those, and that's when I really started to make some money, and now I can definitely appreciate how there is SHITLOADS of money to be made in IM, and I have no doubt lots of people here are making a small fortune - and not just the service providers, which is what a lot of people think.

Is it easy? No. It couldn't be further from easy, it takes so much work, so much perseverance and so much patience, which are the reasons why a lot of people think it's not really possible.

I'd say there are maybe 0.1% who makes $XXXXX/month and more from SEO, about 2-3% make $XXXX-low XXXXX, another 3-5% with $XXX, rest earn less than $100 or nothing or even lose money. Most people lose money in SEO, but there are opportunities to bank a lot.

I think that you underestimate the money that can be made with SEO.

I agree to his statement, SEO might be easy to some but not to others, it takes patient, testing and justifying. i would really say only less than 5% would try, and less than 50% would stick, and less than that 50% would succeed, and not to mentioned about the "how" successful, and how long does that person decide to stay within that.

I would say IM is not even easy, you are either patient and hardworking motherfucker, or just pure lucky ass that grab your goldmine from the moment you start.

We don't ? or YOU don't ?

It's not a waste of time for me :)
