All members from BHW beware if you are promoting Paid S....eys at home from CB. Check your links on order page. Sign up in their web form and you will start receiving messages from autoresponder. Click the link in the message and go to order page. There you will not find your affiliate name but another one. And even if you are going directly from sign up form to secure order page your name won't be there!!! I complained but the first answer was general bla bla (provide your link, even if I already provided the link and the screenshot) The second reply was about last cookie dropped. That was their official answer to my question????!!!! So it looks like they support last cookie dropped!!!!
I am fed up with CB

If that is true, it is not only a shameful and disgusting act on behalf of the vendor, it would also be a crime not to report this immediately to Clickbank.
It has always puzzled me how can a vendor sacrifice his/her integrity, reputation and probably their Clickbank account, for a few extra bucks.

You should tell them your hoplink and see whether the last cookie droped is your link or not. That being said it'll damage their gravity right?

Its really a shameful act by vendor because affiliates spend a lot of time and money to promote the product and then fed up after these type of activities. Clickbank should take a strong action over these of vendors.

I left CB long time ago, I feel as if they do not give a shit about their affiliates and they also have some really shady policies.

Just go with an honest CPA or CJ/LinkShare/Amazon

Or better yet, sell your own products.

"This is not a case of abuse, no one is stealing your commissions, this is just the way that Internet marketing works. The last referring affiliate receives the sale. Sometimes you will be the last referring affiliate, sometimes you won't."

Please read carefully this is their official answer to my complain. So where is the purpose of our affiliate efforts? We are paying for leads, for traffic, for email marketing, autoresponders, for PPV, for advertizing and all other marketing tools. And then when we refer someone we are not credited for the sale. In other words we will receive commission MAYBE- MAYBE NOT???? Is this how affiliate marketing works?
I would really like to hear from someone else who is promoting this product cause it looks like that the person is someone from their side whose affiliate name is always on order page instead of mine.

if your niche is good then it's not hard to create your own ebook.

which product particularly did you promote from cb?
I was promoting one since 2012 and maybe this is also what is happening to my account there.

@prab1996
out of topic

@cheezycheesy
"Paid sur...ys at home" is the product

Same here obviously. We have been working with Clickbank affiliates (as well as several other network affiliates) in 5 different languages for more than 11 years in a row and NEVER has this idea of making money on the back of their traffic has EVER crossed our minds. There is a world of difference between monetizing your affiliate traffic compared to stealing their commissions. If you don't grasp affiliates as your true partners, you don't belong in this business.

Mike.

Clickbank should NEVER allow a vendor to overwrite their affiliates' cookies. It is very shameful and unethical, and undermines the whole affiliate-vendor concept. I would never do this to my affiliates as it is plain wrong and it obviously kills your relationship with your affiliates.

Thanks GiantSteps for pointing this out to us; I have sent email blasts to that product in the past but now will make sure to avoid it!

That is like the biting that feed you.In addition Clickbank should remove that annoying CDR policy.

First of all I would like to say ty to all those people who replied to this thread and I am glad that we are all at the same side. It's a pity that I can't show you my screencast to assure you that I am right. Please read the new message from CB regarding this issue.

"Thanks for your reply. First of all, I did not make the rules that ClickBank operates on. The last referring affiliate has been the rule since the beginning of ClickBank. I'm sorry you don't agree with it. Perhaps you can work for an affiliate network that does not use the last cookie? "
So according to CB the last cookie dropped is legal !!!!!??????

"Cookie stuffing (also cookie dropping) is not only has the potential to generate fraudulent affiliate income for the cookie stuffer, but may also overwrite legitimate affiliate cookies, essentially stealing the commission from another affiliate. It is perfectly normal for a user to visit a website, click on a link and be directed to a target affiliate site but not complete a qualifying transaction at that time. That user may revisit the target affiliate website at some later time and complete a qualifying transaction. The original referring affiliate would be credited with the transaction and make a commission.
The problem occurs when a cookie stuffing site stuffs all its visitors with a batch of cookies in a scattergun approach. The genuine affiliate cookie may get overwritten and when the user visits the target affiliate site and completes a qualifying transaction, the cookie stuffer gets the credit instead of the original affiliate who had brought about the first genuine visit to the target site." (source Wikipedia)

"
Affiliate programs are made specifically to pay you for a legit way of generating leads, sales, conversions, downloads or whatever.
There are tons of people generating real conversions and running a legit business, following the rules, and not breaking the law. If you are one of those people who run affiliate programs with the purpose of breaking their rules and defrauding the affiliate program or network, you are part of the problem. There is no excuse for anyone to do this because its been made clear through article after article both in numerous publications and blogs that this is not acceptable.
Wire Fraud is a very wide-sweeping principle that has been used to catch everyone from major organized crime lords to Shawn Hogan. Simply put it is used to prosecute anyone who creates a scheme for the purpose to obtain money based on false representation or promises and then uses some sort of electronic communications.

What does this mean for affiliates? If you are purposely breaking an affiliate agreement, creating a scheme to defraud a network, a program and they can prove that you did it on purpose: you are breaking the law. The case against Shawn Hogan and Brian Dunning was prosecuted by the Department of Justice in order to send a very clear message to the bad guys in the Internet Marketing Community: we are watching you and we will take down even the very best of you."

And now I am thinking where is the purpose of all our efforts to bring the buyers to some product. We are spending our money to bring the leads to some vendors and they cheat us in the worst possible way. It was the same with Kyle Leon and I want to say ty to BHW member who opened my eyes. Of course this one KL was not blacklisted for his obvious fraud and all of them are protected as they are bringing a lot of money to CB. But they would be nothing without us (affiliates) as we are those who put the money to vendors and CB pockets.

And I forgot to mention that I would like to apologize to all those honest vendors !

thanks for that useful info

@CreativeLinks
Most vendors are reputable and honest sellers. It wouldn't be fair to accuse others. But for those 2 above I am 100% sure that they are cheating together with CB
