Do you guys think that MARKET Samurai is still relevant for keyword research (for media buys that use keywords).

What keyword research tool do you recommend that has been useful to you?

I found my brains to be the most useful tool. Must admit MS is pretty good tool as well

I use ultimate niche finder for my personal websites as well as those of clients. Everything it spits out requires manual checks before pursuing but it saves me tons of time. If your looking for a free option then there is traffic Travis but I haven't used that in quite a while.

These responses of "just use your brain" are the worst. You are going to have to use your brain regardless of tool assistance. Of course you need to know what to look for in a low competition keyword but the right tool will speed up the process immensely.

I find myself not fully trusting a software 100% and end up using my head and manual skills.

Do you distrust software because they display different results for you?

I'm sure KW research for niche sites can be very challenging... but I'm assuming that researching for PPC purposes wont need to be so precise... right?

How different is KW research for Niche sites as oppose to Researching for PPC and media buys?

I'm not really sure what you want to do. But for Adwords I'd imagine the keyword planner would be the only keyword research tool you would need. It'll tell you the amount of searches and the bid. If you want to do ppc elsewhere you should see if whatever you are going with is able to give you the information you're looking for as it's the only relevant information to you.

For SEO I find longtailpro to be just fine and it suits my needs.

Now I'm no shark at ppc, but I don't believe you will need any other information but the amount of impressions and bid costs.

Keyword research for PPC and media buys, thats pretty much the geist.
