It's like any niche man, there will always be competition. It's up to your ability to drive traffic and your SEO efforts. It's highly profitable for me, it can be for you too.

I do a lot of manual backlinking for traffic on a lot of Q&A sites, I'm also re-directing a ton of traffic to a particular movie from a site I own which is ranked for a decent keyword. I'm only getting around 2k uniques per day and some days I make over $100.

I think this would work for a very specialized movie niche only. Otherwise, beating the competition wouldn't be worth the effort. Nice idea, though. Interested to hear alternatives to the premium plugin, it can't be the only plugin on the market that offers to collate movie info.

Sure, just like any blackhat niche. It takes 10 minutes to set up and it'll run for months, if you get taken down before 6 months you're very unlucky.

I'm sure it does. However it has a 2.6 buyer rating and the GUI of WPMDB can't be beaten. Of course you can use any alternative you want, my thread's just an outline.
