Well its Vegas baby. After the conference hit the slot machines YaY! That's why wife told I can't go to vegas :(

Really? How many 3 day IM conferences in Vegas have you attended? This conference is an absolute bargain when you take into consideration what you get out of it, the speakers, the quality, the venue etc etc. The forum community wanted to meet, mix, network, learn the latest and greatest ways to develop their entrepreneurial skills and we are handing it to you on a plate. The Early Bird deal is outstanding value, but even the full price tickets at $2495 are still at a similar and comparable value to other similar conferences. If you would like to book Scott Stratten or Erika Napolenta or Jeremy Schoemaker to give you an hour of their time, helping and coaching you and opening up your mind, their time alone would cost you double the price of our full price ticket. It all depends on your perspective but I can assure you this conference is not expensive. In fact we think the complete opposite.

Top reason for not going : tickets are very expensive.

Do you think spamming bhw with many threads is a good idea ?

why not you make a big thread and make it sticky on home page ?

I'm not going to pick on anyone specifically, but if you think that all you get for your money is to hear a few speakers you're probably not going to make it very far in IM. You need to think about a few things before firing off your useless posts that add no value. First off, since you don't value the speakers and any of their experiences we'll take them out of it. Let's just say it's $1,000 to attend, and nothing was offered, here's just a couple of reasons you'd want to consider attending.

The biggest was already mentioned, it's NETWORKING. That's one of the biggest parts of working online. Who you know, and what you have access to can often determine how far you'll make it, especially if you're still getting started. The key is to network with good people that can actually help and are able to take action, not a bunch of talkers that have all the ideas in the world, but no clue on how to put them in play.

This is a good time to bring in the pricing/cost. If it were me, I would want to be able to meet and talk with the most qualified people possible, who wouldn't? Well, if the price to attend was $50 you would obviously see 10x the amount of people that would attend. That's great except what's the overall quality of those people? At that cheap of a cost, anyone can afford to attend, so your chances are hooking up with someone that can really help you is much much slimmer. By pricing it higher you attract a higher quality of person to attend because as those above me said "it's too expensive" for the average person to go. In theory, most people that went to this would be people that could afford to, and therefore would be much more likely to have a successful operation going. Since those are the type of people you would be hoping to meet there the higher cost works to your advantage.

You also need to consider the costs involved with putting an event together and hosting it at a place like Ceaser's Palace. You're talking about renting out rooms in a major casino during peak business days over a weekend. Speakers also don't just volunteer their time for free. There's a lot of things that go into the price that's quoted and if you took a few minutes to analyze that you'd see that it's not any kind of a rip-off or waste of money what-so-ever. I'm not saying it's the steal of the year either, but the way you guys just throw out these nonsense negative posts without any valid reasoning is just flaming and isn't useful to anyone. You're paying for an experience and maybe even some new contacts to help you in the future. Good luck with it though to the OP, I may even consider going myself as I've been wanting to start attending some meetups like this to start meeting more people.

If you think this is being done for any other reason than milking the BHW community you are deluded.

It would be awesome to go and network with people/ listen to talks. I get that it's a great price for the value that I'd get out of it, but Dave Ramsey says it's just not in my budget.

"Milking the community" interesting thought. Is anyone putting a gun to your head to attend? - The answer you are looking for is no.

I'd say this event isn't for everyone. I've costed it out and for me to fly internally from the US (where I will be by Nov) it's going to be less than $1500 including ticket, flights, food and accommodation. If I ate at Walmart / grabbed all the free food and didn't network at all it would probably be less. But that's not the point of this event.

For those that can't make it, don't hate on those that can. For those that can make it you're going to have an awesome time.

that sounds like alot of fun. I can picture myself waking up in a dumpster with a mean hangover after an event like that! will consider.

Hey prab1996

I think DD answered this really clearly previously, there is obviously a lot going on at this conference one thread isn't going to touch the sides of the subject and decision making.

This way I can look at the VIsa's thread without having to read though all the comments about the speakers.

Nice work IRL. I like your style.

US is just too far, Vegas especially. Otherwise, would love to come.

Yeah someone who has a multimillion dollar forum with hundreds of thousands of members and has a
website in the top 500 is really in need of milking some people into buying conference tickets....please.

I am not going to name anyone but I know some guys who make thousands with their reputations on
this board and what's more is the Joint Venture opportunity where you can meet in person and plan
out your ideas for future ventures.

Sometimes the best way to do business is not through Skype but a firm handshake and that's what
this meeting offers in a fun filled atmosphere. If you have ever been to Vegas you will know how much
venues like this cost. This conference is for serious internet marketers or guys ready to take this to the
next level.

If this was about milking they would film it and provide CD's or downloads for $200 a pop and sell a couple
thousand of them. So get real....

For the price issue, the price isn't so much the price of the ticket.

It's that it's in Vegas which is expensive as fuck to stay in and it's going to cost everyone a lot to get there too. The price of the ticket is only a small portion.

Ideally, it would be somewhere that's really cheap to stay in and rent the facilites etc and have equally good entertainment as Vegas. Somewhere that we could stay for $20/night if we so wanted. Perhaps Thailand or somewhere like that?

My personal standpoint is that I can't really afford it but if I lived in the US, I'd definitely go and I'm happy for those who will make it there.

I also think it weeds out the people who aren't making money which is good and bad considering what side of the coin you are. Not necessarily such a good thing though.

Lets make this one a success so hopefully next year they can do it in Europe or somewhere more accessible for even more members!

As JazzC mentioned, the networking alone is worth the price of attendance. Also, I feel you're undermining the value of listening to speakers. The speakers that will be attendance will be industry leaders and experienced and will offer all attendees valuable information and adding all of the other benefits/perks such as hotel accommodations, networking and who know what else (This is Vegas after all), this price is very reasonably set in my opinion.

Hi the-dream

"expensive as fuck" it can be if you're not with BHW...... So we're not going to leave you hanging. Your total cost for 3 days in Caesars in a room above the conference (walk to the elevator and hit the down button, you'll be at the conference.)is....

$360 total!

Yep that's right. We've negotiated a price that includes resort fee, includes internet access for 5 devices, includes (as Caesars put it) "hotel amenities" (that's fruit bowl and 2 bottles of water to you and me). for $360. You get the link in your confirmation to book it but it looks a lot like this. https://resweb.passkey.com/go/SCDOT4 but these are limited to the early birds at the moment. Because - yep Caesars is expensive, but this isn't a cheap conference.

Re location, we can't win them all. By far the majority of our 13 million unique users last year were from the US. But WHEN (not if) this one is a success we may do it all again in Europe but with different speakers etc. Vegas is the place to be for 2014 BHW conference.
