will google + be more popular than twitter, fb in future?

You have a point, mate. We're blind sighted. Then again, those who are not blind sighted, are now building the next big thing where our kids will spend their time - I doubt its going to be Google+, its too boring. The next best candidate for kids social network as it stands now is ask.fm - there are tons of kids there.
ask.fm? I dont think so

Nope, I think there will be another a really huge search engine coming. The one which learned a lot from current SE. And "Google" will go down this/next year because of its stupid updates and thinking that they are the best.

Google won't go down. LOL!

We still don't know what will be the next big social network.
One thing I believe and many people are already coming to the same conclusion is that facebook will soon get to it's peak of users and will suffer a drastic drop. So if it's gonna be g+ or a new one nobody knows.
On the other hand, Twitter is in a good health currently so I suppose it will continue growing as it did till now.

Why are you so sure?

Because their main product, "Google Search" is and will always be on top. Don't worry about Google+ vs. Facebook. It doesn't matter that much. It's just being dramatized by media. Google also knows that they have no chance against Facebook. The ONLY purpose of Google+ is to "disturb" Facebook and get some of the FB users to leave FB and come to Google+, not to be bigger and better than them.

Facebook is more than just a website now, it's part of everyday life for many. I don't know about the US, but here in the UK I wouldn't think G+ is catching up anytime soon.

Google plus had a lot of time to prove itself, and it din't. Inspite of having a giant develop and promote it, the result has been below average. Unless they come up with something extraordinary I don't see them challenging FB anytime soon.

Google have had a massive opportunity to dominate the Social Media arena and have failed miserably. It's hard to understand really.
It starts with the lack of clear definition of its offerings. Your average Joe struggles to understand how Google plus differs from Google Places (if indeed understanding the difference is important to them). They both to this day look the same. Then when google invite you to conjoin the two it really gets confusing.

FB has hitherto suffered for exactly the same reasons but ultimately it is easier to see grasp the differences between personal accounts and business accounts in FB.

With the easy integration between FB and Twitter that Google lacks with those platforms, I can only assume Google's heart really isn't in this market. It couldn't get it more wrong if it tried.

But that doesn't make sense.

Google still believes itself as the rule maker and acts like a bully father, even on g+. I believe no one wants an watchdog while sharing with friends/family members................G+......BIG NO!:bootyshak

It never will be as popular by usability. But it is already more valuable in SERP than both because its owned by the same company. They will always favor their own products and rightfully so.

Lets see how BEBO kicks off :)

I think G+ will eventually grow.

They have improved it a lot and they work on it on a daily basis, so I don't see how not.

How do you think Google+ can grow when it is no real alternative to Facebook?
It has to be worth it, otherwise why would you switch from FB to Google+?

Facebook, twitter, digg, reddit, stumbeupon, pinterets, and all the rest are what they are because they offered something someone else doesn't at least when the grew their fanbase.

At some point they were innovating.

Google is not offering anything new, and they are not going to succeed until they do, unless they invest for the long term. In 20 years who knows what will be the big thing? Google can fund 20 years easily.

But I dont see it being anything but a wannabe for the next half decade or so. Matt Cutts has come tight iout and said it doesn't help rankings.

He might as well have pulled out a pistol and shot it in the head.

Without that lever G+ is done.

I agree with all of you that say G+ got nothing to offer, thing is, they have the power.

People hate it now, sure thing. But they are forcing more and more businesses/people to start using it.

You know, when you get used to something, you will simply keep using it even if you were not too fond of it at the beginning. Give it some months, and people will start to like it...

Brute force works, and it works best when its done "unconsciously" as well as actively.

I don't like Gs aim of world domination, but hey, if you can't fight them you might as well join forces with them (I believe this is what G+ haters will end up saying).

Twitter will always be number 1 no matter wht new site or platform comes out
