will google + be more popular than twitter, fb in future?

Not a chance, Facebook won the hearts of teenagers, adults, and even grandparents. Google plus failed by associating their service with gmail. People are picky and sometimes you only get 1 chance to impress and they failed.

Google+ will not get more users in the short term. Maybe never.
It will make inroads into niches, just as Twitter and Pinterest and LinkedIn and StumbleUpon and so on.
Facebook has been punishing the business users of its platform with its engagement-based way of delivering messages to your audience. If your user is on both Facebook and Google+, they might enjoy getting updates on G+... and for some it might be the only way they see your stuff if they don't engage on Facebook.

no f$#king way. as TheUnborn said they had to force users to use their google plus to comment on youtube to get some clients, thats how desperate they are. Besides, their layouts are way to complicated and sometimes even hard to load on a slow connection or bad pc. Facebook at least tried to make it easier to load even for the mobile version. And i know for a fact that will never get above Twitter, because twitter allow adult content, something that FB and G+ don't allow. And the adult industry is so big that will always keep the Twitter above water! If i would have a non-adult business i would focus on FB, if not i would focus on twitter, simple as that

Google+ doesn't compare whatsoever to FB or Twitter in my opinion.

Google+ is growing because they are forcing people to use it.
Regular internet users aren't interested in it and don't like it.
The only people really using it are marketers and companies/firms looking to gain some authority and trust from Google.

Nope, I think there will be another a really huge search engine coming. The one which learned a lot from current SE. And "Google" will go down this/next year because of its stupid updates and thinking that they are the best.

I think a lot of people are blind sighted here by their hatred of google. There's every chance that it could become more popular than facebook - Not that im even on it with a proper profile, but what happens when we all get a little older and our kids don't think it's cool to be on the same social network as their parents?

You have a point, mate. We're blind sighted. Then again, those who are not blind sighted, are now building the next big thing where our kids will spend their time - I doubt its going to be Google+, its too boring. The next best candidate for kids social network as it stands now is ask.fm - there are tons of kids there.
