Background:
When we first started we were making a steady stream of income selling our own custom manufactured health products. At our best point we were netting 40k+ per month in the health category. But starting with end of 2012 our sales have taken a slow and steady decline. This has mainly come from the following:
1. Competitors who are listing similar products with phony reviews
2. Competitors who are puffing up their rankings with artificial orders.
The worst for us was in September of 2013 where if sorting by rank "most popular" or sorting by highest rated we were way at the back of the line as compared to these newly launched phony products.
Although amazon is aware and cracking down on these phony sellers who manipulate the system with fake reviews and artificial rank (99% use contractors from bangladesh which are sloppy and dont care if you get suspended), we have realized that it usually takes amazon around 3-6 months to weed out these bad apples. As an established seller we are not willing to risk our account to play the same games.
QUESTOINS:
If a service existed which was 100% legit with 100% american buyers.
how much you would be willing to pay to rank higher on amazon without RISK?
How much to have real american buyers review your products.
For over 9 months my partner and I (both software developers) have figured out both the amazon ranking system and amazon review system. We are looking for partners (NOT IN HEALTH CATAGORY, THAT IS OURS) who are in different catories other than ours who would be willing to share in building up a private network. Because the network will be built of REAL USA customers we are trying to see what is fair to pay these guys for each purchase, feedback, review, wishlist.
