Hey guys,

Since offline marketing/sales is different than online marketing/sales I am wondering what you would do when having 3K warm leads? Leads of small businesses throughout the country (I can basically drive through my country in 1 day) where the businesses have indicated a year ago that they are interested in online marketing services. How would you approach these leads? I have the following in mind to consider:

  • Cold calling
  • mailing with Mailchimp with a great offer
  • sending a personal email to offer my services
  • sending a personal email to offer my service with a follow up call
  • sending a personal email with a Woorank report of their website, and a follow up call
  • sending a personal email with a message that I have created a report and would like to explain the report with suggestions
  • sending a personal letter by snail mail with my brochure and a follow up call

This is what came up in my mind so far. What do you think of the above tactics and/or what else would you do when you have such kind of leads available?

I am looking to all your replies and hopefully we can share some out of the box or just the simple ideas and tactics in this thread!

Have a good one!

I'd call them.

A warm lead doesn't convert to a cold call.

Since they are a year old I wouldn't waste too much time or have high expectations. Because:

1. A lot of those businesses are prob closed
2. In that year time frame they have been emailed, called, and mailed by dozens of companies who all promised the world

Honestly 1 "fresh" lead is worth more then 1,000 of those leads

Use the time you were going to dump into those and work on generating real time leads.

Just my honest opinion.

I agree 100% with netmoney1. When you get a lead, you need to get it in your sales funnel right away. Most times a lead doesn't convert right away. But I can guarantee you that the longer you wait to follow up, the more money you'll end up not making.
