This is a question for people who are a little experienced with facebook ads. I made a facebook ad two days ago. The potential reach for my audience is more than 4,000,000. I set the daily budget to about $50. Bid is double the maximum suggested bid and still I am getting like 200 impressions a day.

What do you think is causing the problem?

Probably you got too low CTR. Create new ad or same ad with other pic. FB test's every ad and if it doesn't get clicks fast they show it very slowly.

it had a %2 ctr. I dont think so

Create new Ads strangely in Facebook Ads platform same ads with same content made on different time perform differently

try a lower audience maybe that will work

But I don't understand why a big audience would not work since I am probably bidding the highest one and killing the competition.

Maybe your not targeting the right ppl? Maybe your ad copy is too boring for anybody to click on it? Maybe your ad copy does not tell what the website it is linking to clearly? Split test them and your ad will see some healthy impressions.

Seems very strange, I usually Bid lower than the minimum or slightly over it and I get more than 200 impressions. With 4,000,000 you should be getting more impressions.

Make sure that you haven't surpassed the account spending limit.

So if my ad is not relevant enough it will not even get impressions?

Doesnt matter if its relevant or not, in the beginning Facebook will show it to test if ppl are clicking on it or not. After it sees that ppl are not clicking then it can limit the impressions.

P.S. Set it on Optimised Bid for a day and see.

Now I am testing the the optimized bid option.

The ad received a couple of clicks and it only has been shown to 200 people. Again I don't think it is a ctr issue.
