Guys: Kindle is the Ticket!

Thanks for this great method!
Now i have a question :

Do you have a lot of refund or it's small? (because i've read that you have 60 days to ask a refund of a product)

I've only sold about 14 books on my two (They were nothing special, just testing the water) and out of those only 1 has refunded.

Sick of people buying and not reviewing.

They have 7 days to refund iirc. Some of mine have 10% refund rate but I think thats also partially because I kinda miscategorized it.

I think the Skype Kindle group is dead- If not, please add me again (write me a PM, then I'll send you my nickname).
Anyone interested in a review exchange, also write me a PM!

I cannot put my link here as I am a newbie

I have a new book coming out in a week - I'll take you up on that. I'll send an unverified review and contact you later when mine is out.

Does anyone know where would it possible to buy a few Kindle reviews (for a 0.99 USD book or app)? I would need 5 or so just to get things started. After yoi get those first few reviews, things start to roll on their own. Thanks.

Don't buy reviews, not worth the risk

For all people looking for review exchange-
I recently opened a Facebook group just for that!

It's not another shitty group, it's for POSITIVE 5 STARS review exchange.
got some rules to stick to in order for us to not abuse the system too much and have Azon on all of our asses..

I can't post links yet, just go to FB
and add
dash groups dash KindleExchange

or go to any group and change the name/number of the group to KindleExchange

If you cant find it just add me as your friend on FB. My FB name is Clyde Kindle

Good luck to everyone.

thanks to thread starter for the share. what are good sites to outsource? where do i get great freelancers i.e ghost writers?

There are a bunch in the marketplace thread here on BHW. Also Elance and ODesk. The main thing is when you go there don't just go with the cheapest necessarily. Look at their history and especially their samples. Also there re writers at the Warrior Forum.

has anyone managed to rank their amazon book pages well on google?
I.e. if I launch a book called 'dog training for beginners' is that a term I can rank well using backlinks etc on google?

This thread was pure gold for me. In the beginning I was very skeptical about this. It just did not look like a proper IM method.

But, trust me...it really works! It's not even an year since I started my journey with Kindle books and I already had to quit my 9-5 job and focus only on this. It was not an easy decision; I was very afraid that I am making a BIG mistake. Now I am not regretting anything. My life style has been been improved and I am earning much more from Kindle books, compared to what I was earning from my regular job.

So, this thread has really changed my life. All those that are thinking of getting into this, don't hesitate! Just start writing your book. It's easier than it sounds. And for those which are already doing this: don't you ever stop! Success will definitely come. It's an immense market, and the demand for e-books is still not completely covered.

A few tips which I learned from my own experience:

1. If you thought you don't need to worry about SEO anymore, you're wrong. You won't sell any Kindle book if it is not on the first page when somebody is searching using some particular keywords.

2. Use decent covers. If you are not really experienced in Photoshop don't try to make the covers of your books by yourself. The cover is the first thing that your customers see, when clicking on the link of your book. And you know the saying: the first impression lasts. If the cover is not well designed they will not even click on the link towards your book.
3. When writing the description try to give something to your potential buyers. It should be a preview of your book that ends in a point of maximum interest :D. The same should be edited the first pages of your book ( which can be seen in Amazon, by using the 'Look Inside' feature).

4. Use separate channels of monetization.
So, you are earning the royalties which Amazon pays you from the sales of your books. This should not be enough. Build a website for your book (or books, if they are all in he same niche). Sell something on that website. Obviously, what are you selling on your website should be related to the niche of your book(s). Build an email list and don't neglect other opportunities that you have learned here, on BHW. Remember: the real money are on your website. That's because only there you have 100% control over your customers.

5. This is the most IMPORTANT of them all: REVIEWS
The reviews are actually selling your books. They are important because people are, nowadays, trusting reviews much more than classic advertising. Verified, unverified...it doesn't matter. Get as many reviews as you can. They are assuring your customers that your books are providing quality content and they are the most important factor that A9 (Amazon's internal search engine) is taking into consideration when establishing a ranking order (depending on keywords). As mentioned above...they are actually selling your book.

Now, because they are so important, Amazon is doing everything in their power to limit the posting of fake ones. Therefore, stop getting reviews from exchange groups. Writers reviewing other writers'books. What could be more obvious than this? I tried this, too, and I almost had my account banned. All the reviews which I obtained using this method have been deleted. It just doesn't work in the end.
Also, I tried Fiverr gigs which are offering reviews. The main problem with the reviewers on Fiverr is that their reviews will not stick more than a few weeks (in some fortunate situations). They have only one or two accounts, they don't know how to make them look real, they don't know how to protect them from the review filter that Amazon is using, and they are posting only 5 star reviews on all the books that they are reviewing. Therefore, the reviews I bought from Fiverr have never stayed on my books' pages more than 1 or 2 weeks.

This was just a small piece of my journey. I wrote it because I needed to highlight the fact that the OP's method is still working amazingly well. I invested a lot of work, time and resources into this but it finally paid off.

Good luck to all of you that are in the Kindle publishing business!

PS: when I will have some more time at my disposal, I will try to write a detailed description of my journey. Maybe my experience will motivate people and prevent others from spending too much time on different issues.

Just wondering what software you need to make the ebooks, like do you upload them in a PDF, or what?

I am not writing my books now (I am using a team of professional writers) but I when I was doing that, I was actually using MS Word for creating the content. However, I was not saving the file in .docx but in .html . Then, after finishing the writing, I was uploading the html file directly in KDP and it was automatically converted in Kindle format. However, this is a bit more difficult when using images inside your books.
