Been reading for a while on this forum, and decided its time to get busy. I have no experience in IM. Creating this thread will hopefully help me learn and understand how affiliate and internet marketing works.

I will be promoting a forex site with a CPA of 500USD per "qualified trader".

I will begin promoting mainly to one european country. I might consider more countries after I progress.
My first goal is to get one qualified trader.

Than the goal is 2 a week raising a nice 1000$/week.

I have bought a domain, going to create content with affilate links. Purchase backlinks and do SEO for that page.
Create some youtube videos with offers, opinions and maybe demonstrations. Boost those videos with views and try to rank them in google.
Post/comment on relevant forums with aff. links.

Today 15.12.2013
7 clicks on my aff. links so far
1 new registration with a demoaccount.

Stay tuned!

I have similar plans with an 8 yr old domain.. Good luck man!

okay, so i posted in the wrong forum. Can someone mobe it to the IM journey section?

update

Good look with your journey.Since you're targeting good traders,i would suggest to go as IB,you will make more money in long term.

Ok, so now I got one of the wp sites online. Translated, re-wrote and added two articles with banners & affiliate links. Added yoast for wp seo.I need to find some a plugin for wp to track my affiliate links. Before i got my domain I simply used bit.ly, but now I just make text links from my posts.

Mirrorer: Can you elaborate on that? I choose Plus500 because they have their website in my language and obviously the $500CPA.

Online A: I am promoting PLUS500

Update:
total (traceable clicks) on aff. links 22.
total singups for demo accounts 4

I would not waste my time with Plus500 if I was you, their conversion is nothing short of shit. Etoro has a far better conversion rate, and is a lot easier to promote.

They don't do CPA as far as I know, they only do rev share, which I find a lot better anyway. Don't be fooled by the high CPA because the conversions are pathetic, probably shaved to fk. The thing about Plus500 is the Pros will not go near it, they know it is a shit broker. The thing about eToro is it is very very easy to use, so it is easy to get newbies to forex to sign up. Other than that they have great trading tools and other things which keep people trading there. I have been a forex affiliate for many years, not something which I bother with too much now, but if I compare my Plus500 accounts with my eToro accounts, they simply do not compare - the demo accounts turned into real traders on Plus500 are practically nonexistent.

I have been an affiliate with all major forex brokers. I don't see either promoting Plus500 has any value rather wasting your traffic and efforts. eToro and InstaForex seems converts well. some new players in the market like SAXO MT4 and XM are also going good.

Thing about InstaForex is it is OK for the small time affiliates, and the same with small time traders, but they have a bad rep for paying out for big affiliates and big traders, I should know, they had me off with xx,xxx, and when I looked into it, there seems to be a pattern with affiliates, IB's and traders, they do not like paying out big. Dirty dealing desk, with no morals.

eToro is shit for big time traders, and they do not have the best rep for being able to close trades at peak times, ie, the NFP announcement, but they have always been good to their affiliates to my knowledge, apart from when they did not pay me for two months, but after contact they did.

I never used eToro, but aren't they the same scammy dealing desk broker as Oanda?

plus500 is registered on the stock exchange in London with a market cap of about 330 mil GBP. Do they really rip off their affiliates, or do they simply don't convert good? I want to pursue this project and see how much effort it takes to get that first 500$ signup.

Could not tell you if they actually shave your leads, or simply do not convert. At the end of the day you seem new to forex and IM, so the best thing to promote is a broker like Etoro which most new traders go for. eToro converts a lot better than a lot of forex brokers, and Plus500 quite simply does not.

That does not mean they don't shave.Search for some reviews. They are terrible for trading.eToro is the same sh**t but may convert better. If you have and want to buil royal traders list, better search for some serious and good brokers,in the long term,it will pay more

Okay, I think I am goning to promote both plus500 and eToro to see if there is a difference. Anyone with a eToro affiliate code? send it and i will sign up!

I just logged in to my affiliate account and guess what? I made my first CPA sale yesterday. $500. So my goal to reach one qualified trader is done:) Next goal is to get 2 signups in one week.
I am speechless. I have not worked in the IM before, and can't even design good looking sites yet. I will not share my exact methods, but lets just say I am thinking outside the box.

I still have to make the site look better, and add more articles. I will try to write two more today.
I have some issues right now with the wordpress setup, takes a lot of time to figure out.

I have some questions:
Anyone have a wp theme to reccomend for forex affiliate sites?
Can anyone recommend a wp theme that you can create YOURCITYPLUMBER.com sites fast?
What can I do to index my site in google for free?
