Good evening black hatters.

Getting straight to the point, i was wondering if anyone here has information they can give on Ranking youtube videos without buying views likes or subs? I know that for some people those are important to ranking but i've come into contact with at least 2 people who have managed to rank their videos to the top, 1st page of google and youtube, without many views likes or comments. Actually, one of the guys videos was ranked number 2 on page 1 of Youtube with 150-300 views inbetween videos that had upwards of 10,000 views, lots of comments and lots of likes, and even when other videos changed position his maintained the 2nd position. The other person was Eion, who i didn't get the chance to order from before he closed his service but all his review were positive from people saying he did rank their videos within a few days, sometimes hours, with no views likes or comments. I talked to both of them, both told me it's a matter of link building but didn't give much detail. Eion said he uses a bunch of SEO tools at once with different roles for each. Does anyone have experience with results like this that can help? What kind of links should be built? How many? The video i mentioned above only had 148 links and ranked above a video with 1400! Any kind of information you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated !

P.S: 1. i am no competition to anyone on this site, i am not trying to learn to rank for any Affiliate marketing, MLM or anything like that. I am a musician trying to rank cover videos. Most musicians don't know anything about SEO so i know with the right info i can dominate.
2. I already know how to optimize the video pages and everything itself.

Thanks guys!

If you already know how to optimize the videos that's step one. From there, I would head to the other social media platforms. Twitter, Facebook, Google +, etc. Then I would suggest building back links from all sources. Web 2.0's to start with. Press releases seemed to work well for me a few months ago. Use the social networks to index your links as well, from my experience, this has worked well. With heavy concentration on social networks, you will acquire natural likes, views, and subscribers. At least, in my experience.

I use this for all my videos and have a 75%+ success rate getting them ranked. Further, ranking videos high in YT search results is diff. than getting them high in Google. Views and Likes and maybe Subs get you high in YouTube (I've ranked #2 for the keyword "tummy tuck" with a complete spam video, nothing but retention views and likes). SPAM (and some other things, outlined in the video), get you high rankings in Google.

Sorry but Laubster is speaking out of the side of his neck with that statement. I'm a YT partner, have tested and perfected many methods with youtube. I've been in that game awhile. "Devin" is correct, but so am I. So I suppose an "agree to disagree" is in order here.

Just like with a website, there isn't just one way to rank a YouTube video.

The video i mentioned above only had 148 links and ranked above a video with 1400

Not all links are equal. The 1400 links could be spammy low-pr blog comments, while the 148 links could be SAPE links, for example.

Look around here, there are plenty of ways to rank a YouTube video. The number one thing is patience, though. Don't just rush hundreds of thousands of views and likes onto a video, within the first hours. This will just be a waste of money. Try to do some on-page SEO for your YouTube video -- this will be the best way to help you rank, with little-to-no investment: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/youtube/603833-tut-how-optimize-youtube-video.html

All you need to create some viral effect if you want to rank it on YouTube. Blast some High PR blog comments if you want to do it on Google.
