How To Create An Authority Site - Solid Site Foundation

Usually that happens after a couple of days because I create big sites and many long tail pages start rankings within few days. In 7 days I hit 10$ a day but what I'm after is the big numbers and that usually come after at least 1 or 2 months. Depends on more things such as competition, what SEO you do.

Hi mate,

I have a site that is one month old no link building done and 25 articles on it. Going to post over 100 articles over the next few months. Can you rank naturally for lots of low competition keywords without any link building? I want to build a site with little or no linkbuilding if I can do this just to bring in maybe $300 a month, I would be happy.

Hey buddy,

To rank without backlinks you'll have to get a strong interlinking within your site. Find one or two best keywords and a lot of small keywords and long tails. Then try to link from your articles to the homepage and other pages using the keywords you just found, long tails, keyword variations. Limit to 2-3 internal links per article, even less depending on the article length and if you actually care about the visitors that will read your site.

I see you said little or no link building, if you're choosing to take the little link building route, try to find PR 2, PR 3 backlinks and throw a few to the homepage and other pages. If the keywords are low comp you'll need 10 backlinks or even less to take the #1 for many keywords (take note, this is if you're having a solid interlinking along your articles, with anchors like your keywords and variations).

Thank you Zso!!! I have a static home page and a couple of other pages. And then I have all my articles in a blog section, Would it be a good way to interlink my posts by using a related links plugin to show related posts at the bottom of every post?

Was thinking of using 40 web 2.0 blog sites that I have (5-6 pages each) to link mostly to homepage only using brand naked urls etc. I would mix in a few youtube, doc sharing sites etc to mix it up. But not bothered about doing loads of SEO to rank the harder keywords for my niche and then get hit a few months later. If I can rank for some long tails and get some traffic from them I will make money. I did before but I got hit by google!! Would maybe add a few exact match anchor links later if I am making money on the site.

Give it a go, don't overthink it. I'm sure you have enough knowdlege in order to achieve your goal.

Thanks ZSO, great post! Could you tell something about your niche? Finance, pharmacy or something else?

Women niches mainly, ecommerce and different products.

Could you explain more on the interlinking? I am new to this term, for example I pick a niche and I find 10 long tails(low searches, low competition), do I need to make another post for each longtail and link the main article to those? Thank you and sorry for the newbie question.

What do you guys want?

- SEO
- CRO
- expanded version of how to create an authority site and a few SEO tips

What should be the next thread

This is an awesome thread but it means nothing for someone like me who cannot get traffic because of bad keyword research.

I would like keyword/competition research. What would you say about this keyword:"maldives all inclusive" for a MNS and why?

Here is the competition analysis:

Hey man, I'll get you covered in my next thread on the keyword research step. Don't let anyone know your keywords...

SebiP, I'll talk about interlinking in my next thread.

You know guys what would be cool, if you could start asking any questions in this thread just like Sebi did, so I can cover most of them in my next thread. Though, I've already got a pretty decent list but if there is anything specific then let me know and I'll see.

It will be great if you cover Off-page SEO link building as well. but Anyway thank for sharing this awesome tip

Been waiting Zso - checking thread and nothing. Drop it already :-)

sooo who on BHW offers authority site building services done similar to this?

I'm looking forward to you posting about the interlinking. Even though you said a lot with telling us about only having 2to3 per page.

Zso, thanks for the brilliant post! Since you asked to post questions here, so here goes:

If websites are made exactly the way you have recommended however using a fresh domain name for a blog network, how many of such websites would it take to rank our money site for moderate competition keyword? How many for high competition keyword? I know these will be approximates and will vary according to several factors. However would be very interested in hearing from someone who is good at it.

Very interesting and detailed post Zso and according to your little insights on your expected site revenues for new sites your build from scratch, clearly shows that you know what you are doing, looking forward to your keyword research guide.

What do you think of the importance of LSI anchors since the Google hummingbird update?

So you create a WP site and upload 50 articles and dripfeed 200 more articles.... then you make $4k per month?

That can't be all.

What about SEO?

You don't built any HPR to your domain or any other type of links?
