This topic has been discussed 100's of times.
As PR hasn't been updated since Feb and it looks much less relevant these days, why even worry about it?
Why not ask how you can increase traffic, conversions or revenue?

Google hasn't updated pagerank in months and months... There will be no more pagerank update this year and my guess is that it will be discontinued altogether in the near future.

no, not maybe...
The only way you will see an increase in pagerank is if google actually issues a PR update. Until that happens you will be stuck on whatever value you had from the last PR update while new sites have a nifty N/A.
But to answer your question : gain links from high pagerank pages with as little as possible OBL so as much 'juice' flows to your site, then you should see an increase when (and if) there is a new PR update.

PageRank is solely based on incoming links and doesn't have anything to do with the quality of content on the website. So, try to acquire backlinks from high authority sites with good amount of PR and low OBL will increase your webpage's PageRank.

Build quality links and get your brand mentioned across all social platforms. Currently, Google is not focusing on the PR from February there is no update. Please wait while the Google update.

Stanford's patent has less than 22 months out of the 25 years left to run. The Page rank is likely gone - at least as we know.
SEOmoz with it's own highly developed authority and trust ranks recently positioned themselves as MOZ. Losing the SEO, because SEO is fighting the SE's.....
Google will need a replacement for Pr when it goes "phut"
