How are you?For a few days, Il be answering any questions you have
Hello Leith,
Would you please advice me on how to find niches and build authority sites in those niches. I have used almost all the keyword research tools and google planner, but seems that I cannot find a good niche as all of them are full of competition PR 3 and above, even for the easiest ones.
I have always ended up outsourcing everything and buying websites, but I want to do them myself and it looks as hard as I try, I end up not finding anything worthy of starting an authority site.
Anything will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hello Leith,
I have a domain name 6 month old and I built a wordpress site and hosting from hostagtor. The keyword is for a review product medium competition.I used unique content only with ratings stars etc and I ordered some web2.0, social bookmarks, social signals and high pr post but i'm still not ranking in top 200 for any of my keywords. What can i do?thanks
Hey Leith, thanks for doing this AMA, rep added.
One question I have is your opinion on the value social signals on google's rankings and the importance of quality in regards to the accounts.
Don't feel pressured to write too much back, just a quick opinion would be great if you have time![]()
Thanks!

Hello Leith,
Can you tell how you make money with emails and Clickbank? Recommended soft, tools, methods free paid that you used for same.
Hi Leith
Thanks for sharing all the information.I have a doubt regarding web 2.0 properties. Let us say I am creating an amazon product review site and I have 20 review articles on 20 products in the same niche. Each of these articles are over 1000 words.
Now my question is if I have to make 15-20 different web 2.0 properties, what kind of articles I should post on them. Do I have to write another set of review articles and spin them and submit to all these web2.0 properties?
Thanks in advance and +rep for sharing the wiz![]()
First of all, thanks for this awesome thread Leith!
Like you said before, you need to vary the source of your income, "don't put your eggs in one basket". But.. that's exactly what I'm not doing at the moment and I hate myself for it.
I want to change that as quick as possible.
My mind is totally focused on SEO at the moment and I can't really think of a good alternative.
So I come to this question:
Where do you think the "gold" is right now? What would be a good thing to learn or do to make some decent $ (besides SEO) these days.
I was thinking about Facebook fanpages or Youtube.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance.

When I say put your eggs in a different basket, it does not necessarily have to be in a completely different sector. And I completely feel your drift. I had the same issue too and sometimes have it now too. I find it hard to try something new especially when something is working so well already.
Right now, I have a lot of churn / burn sites backed up with SEO. These links vary from CPA, to affiliate sites to actual SEO sites selling services.
If a google update wipes out one of my sites, I still have 2 more to rely on. However, this isn't really putting your eggs in a different basket because you're solely relying on SEO.
So, now to answer your question.. where do I think the money is? A good place to start would definitely be Youtube in my opinion. It's a nice alternative to your usual options and there's a heap loads of things you can do with it to make money.
Or if you're extremely dedicated and find it hard to part ways with SEO, then just stick with it - but diversify your techniques. Have a bunch of CPA sites, have a dozen of amazon affiliate sites, have a dozen of some SEO consulting service sites, have a dozen of some lawyer sites you plan to sell off once they start ranking for local terms, etc..
You can easily put your eggs in different baskets WHILST doing one thing (SEO). Just need to think it through. Don't just rely one 2 sites making you $20k/month with CPA because chances are;
1. You might get them wiped off with an update.
2. Your CPA account may get closed down.
So here try to do things different. Try other forms of monetization (Affiliate Marketing, consulting, etc).
You seem to be doing good already so keep doing what you are and keep trying things differently. It's good that you're considering changing things up and I recommend you start before you regret it later on. Also try to diversify your SEO tactics. Don't use the same tactic on all your sites because if Google targets that particular technique, then ALL the sites using those tactics could be at the risk of being taken off the SERPs. Use different techniques so if that strategy fails, you can quickly come up with another one without worrying about all your sites getting flinged off the SERPs.
