in my blog i see that the images are posted twice...ie one image with watermark and another without watermark..is there anyway to get around this??another problem that i face is that this links to the original source of the the pic ..is there someway i can avoid that

I had this issue you too, I had to hack my wordpress theme a little to remove the regular thumbs, and only show the featured image. In the end I had to have a friend of mines figure it out because I suck at coding. Quickest solution would be to find a different theme. If you know more about wordpress code you can probably figure it out. Only other help I can give since most themes vary is that the pages that most likely would have to be edited are the post loop and single page.

Solution to your other problem is not use images that have link to the original source, or at least ones that are small enough to be covered by the watermark plugin. Typically they're all over the place randomly depending on the image, so I don't even worry about it. Goal is quantity not quality.

There's a free Wordpress plugin you can use to duplicate your blog. Forgot what it's called, google it and you'll see (on phone atm, too much effort). Just make a backup of that before it has any content and all the plugins installed for your sub domains and restore it on the next one.

a question for guys who are already running multiple blogs (subdomains). Are you installing wordpress on every subdomain ? or are you using Wordpress MU ? i would appreciate help with this. I'm just wondering, wouldn't be a huge burden on the server if you install wordpress on every sub-domain with so many plugins.

Install wordress on every subdomains...use plugin duplicator to make the process faster

Ok guys i've been watching this video tutorial [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqrI3LiNToM ]and it seems that the wordpress multisite option would be great, especially the management of all the sub-domains. However i also read somewhere that there might be security issues involved.

Does anyone have experience with wpmu ?

Thank you for this. It worked.

There are lots of different tools for RSS syndication like wp-o-matic, WPRobot, WPematico and so on. But i think FeedWordpress is by far the best free one, and I had several issues with not correct working cron jobs with wp-o-matic and WPematico.

Try disabling all plugins in your wordpress installation, then activate feedwordpress and after that activate all other plugins. that worked for me everytime.

I have posted some links on reddit, but I never got any great results from that. But I have to admit that I have to get more knowledge about reddit in the future.

To all of you having a hard time with duplicate pictures inside the post: This is a problem caused by some themes, because they display both the fetched image and the (generated) featured image inside the post.

A very flexible theme that has a simple "disable" button for this behaviour is the theme Postline by themify. It gives a facebook like looking blog and has tons of options. If you like that fb style you should definitely try it. Plus it gives you the oppurtunity to insert code into the header and footer withput using the editor. That makes it easier to insert the plugrush slider widget or crakrev banners for example.

It is a paid theme you might want to look at wplocker.com for it... (hint hint hint)....

I have a problem though, on my blog the updates also incldues the text written on the tumblr blogs..I only want the images, is there a way to fix this?

Unfortunately I haven't tried wp mu yet, but it looks promising. The only problem might be the following: SNAP free only supports one account per money blog, so if you cant install multiple versions of one plugin on the wp mu version you would need the paid version of SNAP to post to all blogs.

Maybe somebody here can take wp mu for a test drive, as I am very busy at the moment with rebuilding all my formerly infected blogs again.

If you use different plugins use the exact name of the plugins or it won't install.

So i have been asking around on WP forums and it seems that for this purpose a Multi site installation should work fine. as for SNAP, it appears that one can install separate instances of it on diff subdomains.

However i was warned by the wp experts that running 15-20 subdomains on a multisite would require a dedicated server. I am wondering if it would be the same thing if we install a single wordpress on every domain ?

Anyone experienced with this ? what's the max no of sub-domains u're running on shared hosting.

Same issue here. Have you figured out how to solve it?

The important thing is, that your pictures are watermarked on the social accounts, to drive traffic back to your money blog.

To solve your issue you have to edit your theme so it displays the generated featured image and not the fetched image. But that requires either a theme that has an option for that, or coding skills.

So don't worry if the pictures on the money blog aren't watermarked, everything will work just fine. Visitors may even be glad when they find an unwatermarked version of the pciture they watched before on your blog.

You can use the same api tokens with tumblr when you use the same account. So for example when you create 5 blogs within one tumblr account you can create one tumblr app and use that app for all of the 5 blogs. Unfortunately twitter doesn't support multiple pages (or whatever you may call them) within one account. The same applies to SU, you need as much accounts as you have money blogs.

I will try not to put several tumblr on same account and IP in order not to loose them all if a ban occurs.

Also, I'm testing the RSS feed. I added 4 sources, and when I run the update, it's just load and load like nothing happen.
So I just get something like :
"Check currently scheduled feeds for new and updated posts.
Updating XXXfeedexample from <http://XXXfeedexample.tumblr.com/rss/"

and it won't move until I refresh the page. When I check post, 1 post is added. But looks like it can go to the second feed by itself.
Any idea there ? Maybe something you already saw.
