i have a website which is ranking on a very niche specific keyword, it ranked quickly, but recently the ranking is dropping day by day and a competitor is coming up on google day by day at the same pace as im dropping.

how to check if negative SEO has been done to me ?
what are the ways he can do negative SEO to me ?
How to Stop it ?

Please help, my ranking is dropping.

They probably can sabotage you somewhat, especially if your site is new. If you're new, keep working clean and stay focused on your goals, in the long run you'll defeat whatever they're doing to your site.

Note: Discussing the actual tactics goes against forum rules here.

my site is 3 months old, and the competitor's site is 2 months old. I'm currently doing SEO at a very slow pace. I think thatswhy i ranked. But Im getting really frustrated to see my ranking drop. Can you atleast tell me how to check if negative SEO has been done to me ?

You say your site ranked quickly. How long was it top for your keywords? Rather than neg seo, it seems like you just got a quick boost when seo-ing your site, then slipped back to a more stable position. That happens a lot and it's why we're constantly creating backlinks and site content.

if you're still worried, keep an eye on your backlink profile and look for any you know you didn't make or seem very spammy.

my site ranked because in my nice, there were practically no results, no specific results, so i started my business in the same niche, and im getting a lot of business in the same niche, i update my website regularly my posting 1 unique article everyday.
But the competitor's website has practically zero content, none watsoever.
and i recently found one backlink of my website on a porn website, which i havent done, so something bad is happening to me, i just dont know what.

Im also worrying about the same thing, how fast can we recover a site if it already got penalized by spammy backlinks?

your website also got penalized by the spam which you havent done ?

can you please point me the right direction on how to check it specifically ?

Visit http://ahrefs.com and sign up for a free account. You can take a look at your anchor text diversity: https://ahrefs.com/site-explorer/anchors/subdomains/blackhatworld.com/phrases

...or you can just check your backlink profile: https://ahrefs.com/site-explorer/backlinks/subdomains/blackhatworld.com/

The anchor text page should point out if there are any keywords that are being negative SEO'd or overoptimized.

I think they can, my friend who use to rank #1 for saint Louis auto glass is now back in the stone ages in rank, and everyone for the most part that was top ten on page 1 got knocked way back and a site that had been way way back is now all the sudden ranking top 3 makes no sense

It was a new site, i got someone blasting my site with over 400 social links to my site and now its not to be found anywhere on google.
It sucks for me to see my site gone that fast without even seeing any passive income coming

link diversity ?

in order to rank and avoid penalties you need to have a diverse link profile... if it was down to 'who has the most links' i'd be retweeting my own tweets 100.000 times a day and BAM! #1

Yea, well it was mostly because of the over use of anchor text and too many links coming from the same domain pointing to the same page.

rebuild your link profile... try to balance out the negatives and when you start seeing serp movements move onto a white hat strategy

Verify Google Webmaster Tools and see if you have a unnatural links warning.

Remove the porn referenced referral manually after that.

very good question

Look at this fuckface spamming.

OP, you can gather your spammy backlinks in a textfile and disavow them using the Google Webmaster tool. I did that to my website for accidentally sending 10,000 PR0 backlinks to my money site and now I'm back on top again.

as mentioned before, Ahrefs or MajesticSEO is for you, if you find some backlinks (crappy backlinks) that you didn't created than you'll have your answer, then you can try to remove them disavow and... use same technique on your unfair competitor (i'm just sayin' :) )
