I really wish I could have someone like you as my mentor. If I ever get big like you I have decided I am going to find some noob and mentor him to 50k a month for free, I'll even give him the $ he needs.

You won't do this. Take note of how many individuals and businesses are at this level... do you see anyone getting mentored?
Once you're there you'll be too busy with growing your business to bother with coaching someone from zero to hero. You might mentor newbies (I do) but you won't have the time or energy to hold their hand.

1) Set up FB ad accounts
2) Initiate an innocuous campaign for a facebook page
3) Sign up with an affiliate in our chosen niche, create a landing page with redirect to our referral URL and a banner to use on facebook
4) Start facebook campaign with the banner leading to our affiliate link and bank?
That's the basic idea right?

Alright I am going to ask a dumb question. I have been searching around and can not find a definite answer to my dilemma. All I found was old dated articles that no longer apply. If I want to make ads on facebook do I need an actual fan page or whatever you call it. To be honest I never ever created a facebook account. My wife has(she closed hers) but not this guy. I never did because I feel facebook is a tool to allow voluntary information that government and corporations use for whatever they want.

No you do not need a fan page, what you will need is your own website, preferably a landing page related to your offer. Once you have had your add accepted by Facebook, you can then simply 301 the domain from your landing page straight to your affiliate link. Facebook will not allow you to simply use an affiliate link to your offer.
