About to drop a few thousand euros into that.
Plan is to take over a few niches in the german market completly.
In germany you have to have an impressum in the end with your adress and so on so I will have to fund a company as the publisher for this.
 
i have launched my first book on romance erotica, i would appreciate if any one can suggest me good place to market it during free promotions please
 
I launched my 3 books already. First was in very unpopular niche, so it had only 163 free downloads on 3 days of promo. Second was fiction short romance. And third I published today about vampires. I will have promo today for last two. How I wrote those books? I translated them from another language. Manually, with different characters and from non popular authors, in future I plan to outsource translation and proofreading (it's not that expensive). Let's see how it goes. I'm thinking that if I keep making books I should be profitable. My issue is that I don't have any reviews on these. I've begin looking at copywriting to find out what the best way to lure people into buying my work.

My few questions:
1.) How do you get reviews?
2.) This is my first week so far, are these good book numbers without having any marketing?
I do niche keyword searching but right now it's hard to know what the best category to start a book in. I'm doing Health, Fitness, and the evergreen books but I want to write as many books as I can across the evergreen markets so that I can basically improve my chances. I have done all the cover work myself and did some outsourcing but I did reuse my book content across a couple of my books. What do you think?
 
Also, I am debating on raising the price up to 2.99 for the one which sold 10 copies. I don't know if that will drive buyers away but at this rate .35cents is low amount for the effort I'm putting in.

Also, I should note these books are nonfiction health/self-help books and two of them are kindle guides. The biggest seller is my own personal story of losing weight.

Folks is there any way to find out or get a good estimate of how many sales an ebook has? Would be great to see sales figures for existing ebooks in target niche.

I also thought about taking books from the public domain and formatting those for kindle.

Enter in the Best seller rank into the kdpcalculator site and it will give you an estimate of daily sales.

In order to use public domain books you have to differentiate them, if they are already available for free on Amazon. Here are the differentiation criteria from the Amazon KDP site:

In order to provide a better customer buying experience, our policy is to not publish undifferentiated versions of public domain titles where a free version is available in our store. We consider works to be differentiated when one or more of the following criteria are met:

? (Translated) - A unique translation
? (Annotated) - Contains annotations (unique, hand-crafted additional content including study guides, literary critiques, detailed biographies, or detailed historical context)
? (Illustrated) - Includes 10 or more unique illustrations relevant to the book

Thanks for that! I was thinking of adding illustrations and possibly abridging the books to make them more child friendly.
 
First of all, I want to thank GobBluthJD for starting this thread. Whenever I get depressed and feel like giving up I often return to this thread to become inspired to get back to work and drive on.

Outcome
This is what happened as a result of that thing happening.


Introduction
Introduce the protagonist and the setting. Show the protagonist in his natural setting doing what he always does the way he always does it. Show how life usually reacts to him doing what he usually does. Show what the protagonist loves, hates, fears and hopes for most. Show what he?s best and worst at. Show who he is and who is isn?t, what he does and what he doesn?t.


Cataclysm
The worst possible thing that could possibly happen to the protagonist happens. He loses that which is most dear to him.
Decision
The protagonist must decide to set the universe right again. Show how he makes that decision and why.


Preparation
If the protagonist already had everything necessary to solve the problem then it would have been solved already. So he has to gather the resources he?ll need to use to solve the problem.


Engagement
Once the protagonist has those resources, he goes about applying them to the problem.


Neutralization
There is a key moment where the solution and the problem meet and the solution neutralizes the problem conclusively. For example: throwing water on a witch. The audience needs to see the final event in full detail.


Prize

There wouldn?t have been a journey if there wasn?t a prize. The audience needs to see the protagonist pick up the prize in full detail.


Reckoning
The protagonist didn?t come all this way to get a prize and just hold it up for the crowd to admire the rest of his life. He planned on doing something with that prize. Show the first thing the protagonist does with the prize?or what it does to him.


Sunset
For the sake of closure, show the audience what the long term future holds for the protagonist.

How many images should I use in a business niche book (14k words)? I am asking this because the content of this book is already very clear (in my opinion) and these images will not help the reader too much in understanding the ideas in this book.
