The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

I think that's a good example of how you have to think about your project.

My sites live in the lower search keywords where competition is not so cutthroat - and the level of Seo you need is not the same as for more competitive terms.

I say that because the higher up the food chain you go - the more Seo you need - and by increasing Seo - then your bringing Google into things more often - so there definately is an issue you have to control with Site Age / Amount of Seo and needing enough content to justify the amount of links your building.

But you achieved some goals : generated $$ - got tools -- start on the next batch with slightly different strategy.

I don't think people realize that enough the amount of testing/tweaking/failure I've had .. it hasn't been all roses that's for sure.

I've used the broken link checker before on some other sites I owned - but wasn't using it because I didn't think it would work in this case .. thanks for bringing it up could be a problem solver.

The site contains over 100 pages, many of which are informational posts. I tend to get ranked for a lot of long tails (over 5000 queries), but initially I target one keyword per page. For SEO strategy, I can't comment much. I use multiple services here in BST section. Here's a tip: service provider will tell you that they will diversify your anchor text, but that's not always the case. I would say that was the primary reason that the site got hit. So be very specific about your anchor text ratio.

Can you share how many pages is your site, how many keywords you target per page, and what was your
original backlink strategy that got hit?

Hello Danny,

1) What's the best way to convert visitor to money i.e linking html links between post or placing banner at the end/middle/start of the post.

2) If my competition is high to be honest VERY HIGH do i need to do every page seo?

3) what are essentials plugin you recommend for Wordpress platform

4) how much word count you prefer to review a product (300/500/1000+)

5) what is free tool for tracking keyword (if there is any exist)

the answers are in the thread already.

1. Custom Buttons
2. No I would select my best content and homepage and see how you go - if it works do the rest - if not don't .. save your money till you know it can work
3. already in thread
4. random
5. only free trials - not free products lifetime.

Thank you so much for putting this thread up, danny. Had posted a recent sale of mine and was very happy about it. I would like to know what enters your mind when choosing keywords? And how do you define "buying" keywords. Currently set up two sites and I im still gathering data for the first few months to get an idea on what to improve on the next sites im gonna make. But the keyword research is such a hindrance to me.

For example the targeted niche is (using your example) " wireless router ". would that be enough to count as "buying" keyword or i need to search for a specific keyword like "best wireless router" or "cheap wireless router" and with a decent amount of local searches a month for it to be considered as one. Could you shed some light on this one? Thanks! And other opinions aside from Danny's would be highly appreciated as well. :)

"wireless router" is too general for my Sites - people searching that keyword will convert poorly and it will cost too much to rank a site - and take too long.

for every product I find one thing that people search before they want to buy - unique feature.

You have to remember the 2 most common things asked about is keyword research and seo. Keyword Research is something you have to test yourself and find what level of traffic meets your goals .. so you can analyze to death but that doesn't mean the traffic is as you are told it is and more importantly what sort of conversion rate your going to get.

My Sites live in areas - where Sites like mine can survive and make money -- but when you compete in harder keywords then you bring in issues that don't affect me as they do in those type of keywords ... so its up to you to build sites / content and keyword choices that you can make money with.

I can't really narrow everything down to 1 Solution -- every person making their own sites - doing their own research deserves their own chance to be successful - rather than us all doing the exact same thing.

Someone the other day PM'd me their site that they bought for $49 - it was terrible ... just make your own and customize your going to get alot further than buying cookie cutter sites.

Comment on Seo - don't try to make too much money too quickly by doing too much Seo -- let the Sites age slowly and start slow - I know most people want money now -- > but if you do that you run a much larger risk of Google Issues - and ultimately you can't afford that .. hurts rankings / time issues and money from your pocket.

Cheers.

Also once again - I encourage people to post in the thread - what they are finding hard // what they are finding easy // is it harder or easier than you thought // are you learning anything // how long before you got your first Sale ........

the reason I say that -- is people get sick of hearing it from me -- so you guys should either post here // start your own threads-journeys or try to give something back to BHW to help others.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the people who take the time to post in the thread - beginner / intermediate or advanced --> doesn't matter everyone starts somewhere.

All The Best.

Regarding articles what's the best method that works for you guys:

Method 1
Poulan PP3516AVX Chain Saw Reviews
With a product review and keywords inside

Method 2
poulan chainsaw reviews
with few poulan chainsaw reviews and answer to few questions buyers can ask

Or are those methods wrong? Please guys share your experience.

I have a question I have read both your threads and I can't remember this being in there. Let's say you have two websites in the same niche would you like them together?

Website 1. Screwdrivers
Website 2. Handsaws

If you have the above niches how would you like them blogroll, Article, Footer or other

I'd avoid doing any interlinking between them, however making a site about construction tools that includes both screwdrivers and handsaws might be a good idea if you're up for the long-term project.

I have no opinion on Vigilink - never used them.

I would never purposefully link my Sites Together at all.

You need to read one of the 800+ Word Article PLR Reviews - and see how they are done professionally - before you start writing reviews.

Having Sites in the same niche - I like this when you find something with lots of Sales - just make them different and have differing content -- I do this is Medical and some Home Type Niches where there is always alot of demand.

Agreed would not link my moneysites together, but I made mention earlier you can build a related tier 1 property and link to both moneysites. So you create a few home improvement or even tool web 2.0 property you can link out to your sites that way. This is very natural just make sure your web 2 tier 1 content is good quality too, equal to or slightly less (but not much) quality as your money site has.

Also some of you were wondering about link building, here is a nice case study regarding very light spamming of an EMD with good content! Might put some of you on the path to ranking- http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...e-study-emd-light-spamming-still-working.html

Do you use heatmap tool for tracking user behaviour? For example Clicktale,Crazyegg etc.

I have been getting alot of PM's from people asking me compare what I do - to what other people are doing or their recommendations -- so for example they buy an Amazon Course elsewhere and want me to critique everything.

My approach to this is not rocket science .. its just that I have tested various ways of doing things and developed processes/approaches that I follow - that I know makes money.

Some of these courses and approaches maybe better than what I'm doing - so your going to have to test everything and figure out what works best for you.... as I just haven't tested their methods so its hard for me to provide the best feedback.... anyway I got work to get done so I'm out for the rest of the day .. cheers.

hello danny, i dig the thread. i think im going to take the plunge and give it a go. my only question is, and im not sure if you have answered it earlier on here, but when you target keywords or domains do you go branded or non branded? pls let me know. thanks

Everyone who has sent me a PM has been answered -- please note I don't provide Skype support // don't offer any services --> but I am happy to take a quick look at your site to see if your on the right track in my opinion anyway ... also remember there are quite a few other Amazon Threads now on BHW -- and other members Journey Threads -- so please read those as well --> and hopefully at some point you can add your own ... I'm out for the rest of the day ... best of luck with Sales today .. Cheers.
