The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

all the questions asked have already been answered

Press Releases - Search Google for something in your Budget

Selling Something : I'm not interested in selling services or products on BHW - because that somehow implies that I am responsible for success or failure - I'm not interested in that because its just a fact people will fail with Amazon - because they don't use the most important thing in the world -- their Brain.

Pre-Made Sites / Cookie Cutter Sites / Crap Content or no Customization are the death of any group of sites -- your up against Google one of the biggest tech companies in the world - some $50 premade sites just won't cut it in the long run.

Anyway if your up for a challenge and some work then jump into Amazon - if your looking for the easy route then search the forum for PPD/YouTube.

Cheers

Danny1111, could you please sell these sites?

johnnyd77, How many exact local searches of your main keyword?

Main keyword doesnt matter. I'M taking the authority route. I have an EMD which has 2400 monthly, but its ranking 12th.

I dont consider it as a ''main keyword''. See, I have another keyword that has about 40 000 exact searches and i'm on the second page. I call it a big keyword. For me, main keyword doesnt make sense.

I rank for nearly 4000 terms per month.

What does I mean in "main keyword" - it's a key keyword which provide more traffic to your site and orders.
How many exact local searches has keyword which you promote by SEO and convert to orders?

Well again, I dont target few keywords in particular.

I have about 40 articles on my site. Those 40 articles are built around 1 keyword. So that is 40 keyword that i'm trying to rank for, without talking about all the long tails here and there that are in my articles.

Hope it makes more sense to you.

if I build a reviews+howto site, where's the best place I can get royalty free images that used for information articles?

Look for compfight. I've used it several times to find really good Creative Commons images for my sites.

Images : there are plenty of Places to get nice Images -- the one I mentioned was the first one I tried.

To me it does make a difference having good images with articles rather than just using the standard Amazon ones.

Keywords - I would imagine having a Authority Amazon Site you would be targeting slightly larger keywords than me - but ultimately Sales come from Buyers so you need to focus effort of attracting that kind of traffic.

A hobby implies - that your prepared to take a loss for the fun or interest of it :: after my Amazon Journey of both failure and success - I much prefer a more business approach LOL .. its no fun losing money and spending so much time figuring out what works best.

There was a thread the other day - where the guy worked with a CPA Network and bought a Honda Civic with his hard earned commissions .. this to me is inspiring because many people feel the internet is just a big scam and you can't make money from the Internet ...

Forward that to my own Journey - nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing Amazon Deposits go into my account and buying some of the Latest Gadgets etc. and obviously paying the bills.

I'm sure many people are the same -- they just want to see some Sales so they know they can make money with Amazon and its real :::: After that the sky is the limit.

All the best today.

If your one of those people that are looking to outsource your Seo

then take a look at this new BST Service launched - they are offering 50% Discount at the moment

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-2-0-7-day-drip-contextual-links-2-tiers.html

I have not tried it myself as I do my own Seo -- but it might be suited for some people ... also if you do try it - then please post in this thread letting other people know whether it helped you or not.

(I might also suggest that if you used other BST Services on BHW - that helped you and your Sites - then I encourage you to post your experiences here -- but please no BST Providers -- this thread is meant to help people make money - so we want to keep it clean from Self Promotion.)

Thank You.

Jesus, you sure do enjoy making a lot of posts in a row, maybe sometimes you should consider using the EDIT button? ;)

Will hopefully post the status of my journey in this thread at the start of 2014. I expect my earnings to be worth mentioning her by that time as I've recently started working on 17 new sites.
In case people are interested in reading my Amazon journey so far and haven't seen it, here's a link for y'all as well:

By the way Danny, I totally feel you regarding the guy posting the picture of his car. Nothing motivates me more to see people buying actual things with their IM earnings, although I personally have a very nice income from it as well. I've been hoping that at the end of some month you'd post your Amazon stats for motivational reasons for us who are just beginning in it. I can't imagine anything better than seeing a fellow BHW member show us his 15k clicks, 2000 ordered items and 5k earnings ;)

yeah - I try to make 1 post per answer - but sorry it can get bit long winded.

I was actually going to go the other way -- build a Site from Scratch and document it here start --> finish - so people can see how to get to that first $600 a month .. as I was going to make a larger Site than I would normally make - as perhaps that's easier for many - than trying to manage 10-20 Sites... with limited budgets.

Already got the Hosting - just have to find the time to get started.

I think thats a great idea. That would answer so much questions.

Just on that page, those images questions have already been answered few pages back when we were talking about design and user experience. -- That way people will be able to see the level of professionalist that an amazon site requires. --

Yup this I will do -- I think it would be better ..... then people can join in at same time.

** Please just realize I am making plans to move countries - and take my G'Friend and Dog with me -- so I am spending alot of time getting forms/visas/documents/photos and all the stuff needed to do this -- so I may not start for another couple of weeks -- anyway I just wanted to put that out there - so people don't wonder why I haven't started it yet.... just a busy time at the moment.

Respect Danny1111 for this topic. Lots of good information. I am diversifying my income streams and just started my first amazon website.

Hi Danny,

I'm still reading through the entirety of this great thread (I'm getting there!) but just wanted to ask:

After everything you've learned over the years, if you were to start from scratch with sites right now, what tools and services would you buy with $500?

Currently I own 4 sites, 1 web host, Scrapebox, proxies, and good premium themes. Besides buying more content for my sites it's hard to decide the best course of action to rapidly expand my operation. Pinpioneer is one thing that interests me.

Cheers

Personally I would pay for outsourced SEO. You can pick up really good packages for like 70 bucks around here.

I would invest 80% of it in content and user experience.

I would invest the rest in SEO campaign and social promotion.

FB, YT, YA, Twitter, ect

Buy Ubot

* Make yourself a 10 Site Social Bookmarker
* Make Yourself a 10 Web 2.0 Structure Creator/Poster
* Make yourself a 2-5 Site PDF Poster
* Make A Bot To Log In and Post Content

You could automate alot of stuff off the bat that can save time... without buying the software that costs alot more.

So Content / UBot / Good Theme -- and then perhaps a couple BST Services to add to your basic stuff and provide more diversity over time.
