I hate to burst the your bubble man, but its a hard niche...
Everybody can go into the next best buy and buy a DSLR for a couple hundred bucks, make a ad on craigslist called "PRO photographer for hire in the blabla area" and charge 50-100 bucks for a daylight session.
The problem is that most clients have no idea what to look for when it comes to "faux"tographers!
And nobody needs a studio nowadays, just use a rentastudio near you when you actually book someone. What you need tho, is a used DSLR (craigslist) and adobe lightroom (more than enough for the start... no beginner needs Photoshop).
Also, you need to know that as a photographer you will earn nearly nothing... I know it sounds like the cash will be rolling in as soon as you book a wedding, but just see it like this: As a unknown guy you get 500-600 bucks for a wedding.... you spend a whole day shooting, go home and spend a week editing. Do the maths, you earned less in one hour than a burger flipper!
If I were you, I'd do it on the side for friends, family etc...

I worked for a fashion magazine once and we had an in house photographer.
He does well finacially, even though it was not like that from the start.
He started out apprenticing for a professional photographer and learned
how the market works and how to take quality shots. He also learned
how to use the various equipment. He saved up to buy his own equipment
and now he has his own studio. I would advise that you pick a niche
to specialize in since photograpy is a wide field.

QFT! Being a Photographer is not a moneymaker. Takes serious time investment, love for it, talent, and most of all networking be a big shot in industry.

Are you seriously thinking of becoming a professional photographer but you don't even have the equipment?
Buying a pro camera doesn't make you a pro photographer, it makes you the owner of a pro camera.
Learn your craft, earn money part time and then make the transition.
Very very few photographers make great money. To succeed your photography needs to be good, and your business plan needs to be excellent.

At the start you can set up a personal fb page , a website and then you can sell your photographs in some sites like 500px or something after you get some income you can start a studio of your own and live your dream
Although at first you need some hardcore gear for sure ( DsLrs , lenses ... )

Nowadays the world is overpopulated with photographers and the competition is really big. I as a photographer also (obviously ) can affirm that photography is an expensive hobby and only few make good money with that.
However, if you think you'll gonna be a good one, you may consider working with the photo stocks, and you can create yourself a small but comfortable photo-studio and start making some cents and after, maybe, dollars.

I have seen a lot of good photographers earning Cents and many bad photographers making way more than they deserve. Why? they know where the money is. Unless you have a great name and work for brand names, the only real money will be with boring and stupid stuff like weddings, kid birthday parties, passport photos and anniversaries, etc.
