I always say it takes 3 months to know where you stand -- you should be moving up the rankings by then if not on Page 1 -- you should have seen some sporadic sales already as you bounce around - and have some idea whether its worthwhile investing some more money into the site.

Once your on Page 1 - then you have to really focus on what makes you successful or a failure and proceed from there.

Also after 3 months this is the time where you change your Seo Strategy from a more Basic one to something more advanced assuming your seeing Sales coming through in a more steady fashion.

Sorry but I've not tried Payoneer, just saw someone mention it on this thread.

That a real bummer, just started two new UK based sites as well, will now look at .COM only, is Payoneer easy to set up?

Payonner setup is really easy, and you receive your card within 2 weeks i think (and i live far from the US)

However Amazon say that international associates cannot be paid via payoneer but people swear they have received money, so since my first earnings were in may, i will be receiving the money by the end of july and i can tell you if it works or not.

HOWEVER: I am very mad at payoneer right now, because first they were allowing direct loading of the card from indivdual peolple (people you know and something) and without notice they have disable this and they say that they won't let you direct load your card until you receive funds from they partners (amazon, ebay,...) but they don't specify how much so basically they have the discretion of reenabling direct loading of the card...

So this is basically it!

No - you will be fine

but just remember Amazon requires a specific type of traffic - if the visitors are not buying in 24 hours - then they are next to useless for you ... there are many important things about making money with Amazon - but that's one of the key points .. it requires targeting.

Danny, I've just managed to read this whole thread! One hell of a read and you may have just inspired me to get back into the niche site game

This time last year I was doing well with around 50 small AdSense sites but the EMD update killed nearly all of them and with that my motivation too. Since then I have tried to build a couple of authority sites with limited success, my problem is I hate writing but enjoy creating a business process so niche sites are more suited to that.

Reading this I know I already have the skills to implement this process and I have a massive advantage in that I still own a powerful private blog network of around 20 old high PR domains (all of them with genuine backlinks, I never build any links to them). So for me, I won't be using any of the SEO methods discussed in this thread, I will just use my PBN.

As for my other skills, I already have spreadsheets for KW research which make all kinds of calculations which for me is better than any tool. I am obviously familiar with Wordpress and I also know PHP which comes in handy for editing themes!

I guess what I'm trying to say here is although I am new to Amazon sites I should be able to use my existing skills and assets, and I look forward to reporting on my progress. Maybe I will even start a journey thread

Glad you got a Sale - that's definately good news.

Just keep working each day doing something to help your Sites - or improving tracking/conversions/testing something when you have more data.

Also people should realize - there is no magic bullet or trick in Amazon to generate thousands of dollars on autopilot - It's work / it's testing / it's trial-error

I'm not a guru marketer - I'm just a boring Seo Guy - who figured out if you put alot of small things together in a way that Google likes - then in return you get traffic --> and then you make Sales.

My "Secret Sauce" is ways I funnel buying traffic to my sites and not just general traffic that won't convert ... everyone needs to find their own method of doing this as well as making their sites unique as best they can..... all the best with Sales Today - Cheers.

Danny is it OK if I ask you how much you have made with your sites so far in amazon alone ? I think your oldest site is 2 years or so, since that first website, either how much total have you made or what is the monthly average.

The idea behind my question is to get a grasp of the following: after someone has spent $$$ and time on perfecting 50 or so amazon websites, what would be the expected reward! (i don't know if you get a sens of my question, and only guys like you who have been there all the way can answer these questions) - of course i don't deny that learning about the ups and downs of the journey is also very instructive!

PS: I read this thread twice.. I really hate asking a question that has already been answered, but sometimes it is too time consuming to go through the whole thread looking for a specific thing.
