Hi Guys, I've been trying to blast Scrapebox Comments at a Forum page which is appearing under my clients main site for their brand, since someone left a poor review of them... The forum is an old quite authority one but I thought if I keep blasting it that it might dropI think Ive got it to drop one spot so far but I haven't used my clients company name as the anchor text, I used 'Payday Loans' and a whole bunch or 'Click Here', 'Visit Here' 'Business Forum' etc anchors as well... since I don't want it accidently going higher for the companies brandAlso I can't seem to find any good free AA Lists and Do Free Public Proxies Work Anymore? Its just I'm a bit low on funds at the moment:ranger:

hey, don't use anchor variations. just use only one single anchor for the whole blast. Also build some high pr web2.0 blogs with unique article and rank them for that term, it'll automatically go down.

What is this fucking fucked up shit... asking about neg seo dude? and the other guy with rep bars (alternatesword) giving advice on how to neg seo???

Seriously fuck sake...

"Im a little low on funds"???

NO WONDER WHY DUDE... if instead of putting your efforts in diminishing the competition you would put them on working towards your own project you would gain contacts, reputation and a ton more options.

fucking sad to attempt to neg seo... and even sadder to give advice about it...

Dude, neg seo is like the most fucked up shit you can do to anyone.
If you want to do something to them, do it by succeeding and making your site shine so much that everybody sees that, don't do it by throwing shit to competition... thats just so damn low

This is an awful tactic to help your client. Negative SEO not always works, and even if it works - tomorrow Google will fiddle with its algorithms and that page will rank above your clients' website.

Instead blasting, join that forum and make a large post on that page, on similar subject but using different keywords (e.q. excluding the name of your client). The idea is to make it less relevant for the keyword.

Then start building web2.0 that are relevant, and interlink them all.

OP, the correct way to do this is by building good reviews of their site/product that rank higher than the bad review.

If I were you, I would fire myself and find someone better at ORM

Speaking of that old saying: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. . .

A lot of people didn't really read the topic, I'm not targeting a competitor as such but a forum which isn't really competing for my clients brand... ... I wouldn't use negative SEO on a competitors site but a large forum I thought...but I guess stupid

however, perhaps what somebody said is its better to join the forum and start a new thread to rank above it

Plus Google like newer content so they will probably rank this above the old one, thanks for the advice Lancis

Starting a new thread and promoting it in order to out rank the neg thread is also kind of neg seo, like every seo method, no?

I'm risking getting all you guys angry, but isn't neg or poss seo is actually the same? especially if you're using black hat methods?

NOPE

NegSEO is malicious against your fellow webmasters.
Its like tripping Nancy Kerrigan if you're Tonya Harding

SB blast on huge authority sites, may actually boost the rankings, be careful with that :D

Negative SEO can kill a whole website. Posting a new thread on their forum, and building legitimate backlinks to it to increase its rank over the other thread isn't malicious at all.

Hey buddy, also read the second part of my comment. Actually, every business owners wants to get rid of bad reviews about their product on page one of google (because, it'll be there even after they improved the quality). Also, that forum is a public forum. So, any one can post that shit. Also, he's not trying to get down his competitor.

Exactly lol

here is not seoMoz, I think we can talk about negativeSeo... reyone, if you have a problem with this, read only WhiteHat threads...

RichardUK, speaking about neg seo, you did it wrong... in fact you are helping him if you used anchors like "Click here", "visit here" ... you must use only one commercial anchor.
I did this, I'm not talking from other ppl experience.

good luck!

Right... as stated above by many reputable members you should have gotten the idea by now.

Your client is suffering from bad reviews. Your plan is not to clear his reputation but to bury the bad reviews (or take them out of the first SERP pages).

Hmm, why? Your looking at the issue in a bad way, instead of fixing the illness you're trying to fix the symptoms.

What would this do for the client? Will it make the bad reviews go away? Nope, it will just hide them. But, they'll be forever on that forum. Sure, they'll be less noticeable, but, bear in mind that bad reputation has the habit of eventually getting back up to the surface.

So, what should you do to really fix the issue?

You can't better the client's products or his way of doing business (or whatever reason the bad reviews are about)?

Then you have to create a good image for the client to succumb that bad review.

Some users above gave you great tips on how to do that. I won't spoonfeed you on this. It's up to you to put the puzzle pieces together, if you can't, study some more about ORM.

This is a blackhat forum, true, but sometimes you don't need blackhat to get things done, you just have to use your brain.

Another reason for not going blackhat on this is because it's not your business. It's the client's business, you know, the entity you've probably signed a contract with, in which you're obliged to perform activities that benefit that said entity not the other way around.

Hope you understand this, you seem a smart fellow.

Cheers.

Ahhh the mighty and self righteous ...

on a blackhat forum no less ... where sharing other peoples hard works and stealing their revenues and killing their sales is a badge of honor.

Guess youve never downloaded other peoples softs , ebooks or shared shit here eh?

Hypocrisy is some serious fucked up shit too ...

negative review is normal, even the greatest product in the world still got some negative review. Just make sure the positive review more than negative one. we can't please all ppl :)

I have to laugh at some of the replies. If you are standing in a creek, do you care if the water goes to your left or your right as long as the water goes around you? Here we are on a black hat forum and people are complaining of the use of black hat methods?

In general, any attempt at blasting keywords to the competition will only help the competition. I know that many will disagree with that statement. In response to that objection, I have put an 11 megabyte file of neg SEO links that an unknown person did to a site here. The spread sheet contains 50,000 links attempting neg SEO. The site it is attempted against is obvious. The only thing I have seen is that it helped the site. My conclusion is that neg SEO is a crock unless against a very weak site.

However, blasting keywords at a site can and will limit the usefulness of those keywords in the future. When you blast keywords with your competitors domain, just about every block list will pick the keyword, the comment, and the domain being linked to up. In the future, that keyword, domain, and comment may be automatically blocked or sent to a spam folder. Therefore, if you want a maximum effect, you want to use AA lists that have been spammed to death, have high OBL's, and use a comment list that has been spammed to death. You can find these all over. This can affect you though if you are trying to rank that keyword, but it is a method of denying the keyword to the competitor.

Now you build several high authority blogs/web 2.0 sites building up you contract and you link to those sites to your contract. You build links to those pages with different keywords to hide the footprint.

In otherwords, you use both black and white hat methods. The water parts on both sides of you.
