Phrase Match Question

I have a question about phrase match. If i set adwords for the keyword "house clean" (phrase match), will it also target the keyword house cleaning? My logic behind it is that "house clean" is the phrase so:

"house clean" +ing should work. Or is this not how it works? Is it only different words that get targeted in addition to a phrase in a phrase match?

Yes it should do, as phrase includes variations. Its more likely it will shown though because it has the word "clean" in it

Yes the ing at the end of the word will cause your ad to be triggered.

Sure it would show. However, the best way of structuring IMO is to have the MOST successful keywords (once identified) as exact match in small ad groups.

Sure it will but try to go with exact matches to get you the most fullest info about the keyword.

Yes but also check the box in - settings (scroll to bottom) -Keyword matching options -Include plurals, misspellings, and other close variants. This will also show the ad for what it says. Then after you run the campaign for a week check for what users actually search that trigger your ad by looking here -keywords -keyword details -All -Columns -Attributes -Keyword -Apply. Now you will see what people really searched for and add these terms as exact match keywords to better your quality score.

I prefer to use exact and enhanced broad match. Sometimes I place them in 2 different campaigns as it's good to bid myself on axact matches and use conversion optimizer bidding for enhanced broad match.
