The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

Also bought one of those Evoluent Mice - ergonomic ones that are like $110 -- complete junk to be honest .. cheaply made - doesn't connect well and I'll be returning that today.

Yeah been thinking about getting one of those mice, if it wasn't cheap made would you have still used it or is it a serious design flaw? cheers

I got a pretty cool product the other day ... Logitech K810 Backlit Keyboard.

The main features are : 3 Bluetooth Connections - so it can attach to laptop / PC and Ipad - by just pressing the button on top of keyboard ((this is extremely good feature))
and secondly its Backlit Keys so at night if the lights off - its pretty easy to just type away.

Was $68 at Amazon a few days ago - its $99.99 at places like Staples.

Do I understand correctly.. You use your review sites to get free stuff within your niche in exchange for a "review" ? :D

Brilliant.... Next niche will be something I'd like to benefit from as well ! :D

Well - I did contact other webmasters in one niche - to see if they wanted me to review their products on my site - One did and sent me about $150 worth of products - and I wrote a review on it and I still use the product today.

As far as Evoluent Goes - I bought the Bluetooth one - and the Buttons and Scroll Wheel work - but the mouse pointer doesn't work except once every 10 seconds -- also it feels like the mouse cost $10 to make -- unlike most mice which are really sturdy and solid. Its completely unusable as is - so I already contacted Amazon this morning to return. Keeping in mind I paid $109 for it -- I would not buy another one -- Sadly doesn't look like there are many other options.

I don't know how many people here actually buy from Amazon but if you ever have a problem they provide Top Notch Service.

Return for free - just drop off package at UPS Store -- and also if your item isn't delivered for example to your niece like a Movie I sent her - call them and they will send a new one - overnight delivery .. they really do Customer Service Right.

Had some real luck this week. I'm focusing myself on 3 main sites now and won't move on until they are fully done, both in terms of content, design and SEO.
Last three days I have had 1 sale each day for $250+ Dollar items, and most of visitors are coming from my Videos. For each product I do about 2 uploads to youtube and other video sharing sites.

As for SEO, I am not really having any ranking success, but hopefully will have it in a few weeks from now.

In the first 2 weeks I have done this so far:

1. Press Release that made it to Google news
2. 10 Retweets, 20 Retweets, 20 Likes, 10 Shares
3. 20 Video back links per site
4. 5 Daily authority bookmarks per site

All indexed naturally.

I'm currently working on 10x WEB 2.0 (manual and all unique) properties as my first tier, but they will take me about a week for each site to complete.
All in all, the whole blueprint that I am working on will set me back about $85-$95 per site (including seo) with about 8-10x 700 Word articles on average.

What do you think danny?

your 2 weeks in - so I think what your doing is fine - I would just stress that not to go overboard on Seo -- just stick to basic things and spread them out.

once you get to month 2-3 then you can analyze everything and expand what your doing in Seo - I just read a thread yesterday where someone used blackhat techniques on an aged domain and it got hammered in the rankings .. it just goes to show you - focus on your content first - and then your overall seo and social signal campaigns.

also remember when you find something that works for you in how you do it - then scale it as soon as your earnings allow.

Hi
First of all thanks to danny1111 for sharing his knowledge.
I started reading about 1 week before the end of the first thread.
Just thought i would share my feedback...

I decided to take action so i made 1 site with 5 reviews and 4 articles.
At first the article writing was slow - i cant wrap up an article - i have to write about everything
(as you will see in my posts lol) so my first article came to about 1500 words and took ages.

I them used NN for the rest of the articles - the 1st one i got back was brilliant & the rest were good but needed
tweeked which suppose is normal.

After making the site i drip fed the articles over about 2 weeks.

I have made zero - yes zero backlinks only 1 fb page and 1 twitter with 1 tweet.
The reason i made no backlinks will be explained in next post.

After about 2 weeks i got my first sale then i got over the past 2 months about 7 sales - only $25 comission
- but remember this was with no backlinks at all.

I think the only reason i got the sales were because 5 of them were for the same product
where if you spell it a certain way i get to 3rd place on
page 1 and the other 2 places above me are amazon pages lol. (e.g. spell it "widget" = page 2 spell it "w idget" (with space) get page 1 3rd spot)

The other products on this 1st site actually do well ranging from page 1 to page 4 maybe because of
low competition (remember no backlinks yet).

Then i made another site - i made it an EMD site with 1 single product for review - i was hoping that
even though i knew of the EMD GG update that it would auto rank for the keyword in top 3 pages maybe
then i would only have to do a few backlinks but it went in at page 17 lol and now sits at page 14 -
alot of work todo.

That kinda pissed me off lol as i put a lot of work into the site and - i actually went ahead and
brought the $100+ product from amazon lol & made unboxing video etc but it wasnt any good because no
one can see it as it is page 14 of google lol :(
(edit actually i just checked it and its page 11 - which again is still improvement as it went from 17 -14 -11 again with zero backlinks).

I doubt i got enough experience to help anyone but any questions please ask.
Thanks again Danny1111 you give your time and only ask for feedback from others in exchange so this is why i made this post - if i make more progress i will also share on this thread.

Instead of buying a $100 product and unboxing it, you should have just bought either content or set up a long term SEO plan to spend it on.

I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not ?? GoDaddy Name.com NameCheap run these promotions all the time - and alot are posted on BHW if you use the search button.

Thats a good point although i did actually need the product so i was killing 2 birds with one stone :)

Anyway onto my 2nd post now for the dilema.

We all know about external seo etc and importance of backlinks. From the start i was kind of scared to start building back links as i dont have the time to keep it up. i didnt want to build alot one day then none for a week etc.

Also the backlinks i would build would be blog comments mostly and me thinks GG next update will target these as they arent actually a vote from one site to another but just u making a vote on someone elses site for yourself lol -GG isnt stupid.

So my dilema - how to build backlinks in a natural drip fed outsourced way?
Should i try build my own blog network buying aged expired domains etc?
Use fiverr but risk bad backlinks easy spotted by google just blasted at money site?
Or maybe use the services on this forum? anyone have success there with the services?

Most of my products on site one only seem to be beat by other pages maybe by domain age and the fact they got only 10- 20 links - i think i only need about 30 links (quality) per product by how do i build these naturally - if i do it myself im gonna make a mess of it with blog comments etc plus i aint got time to do it on a daily basis - i went to build a web 2.0 the other day and gave up as i knew i didnt have time - i kind of need an out of the box daily drip feed service (dont we all).

Just last night i started looking at the seo service section in this forum for the first time - can any recommend a good service - i have some money to spend.

Any ideas?

the answer to your question in my opinion - is to get a VA

then tell him what you want done and the quality you expect and to send you reports.

I have never had any luck finding someone reliable myself -- but at least this way your getting someone
working only on your projects.

I'm guessing $400 a month gets you someone.

Just another post about how to run this as a business .... something that every one should end up having is a tool like UBot or Zennoposter.

Basically you can just create a macro to repeat tasks that you do all the time - and just run it once a day - or create a task in windows that will open it at the same time each day and just hit run.

Makes life so much easier and saves a tonne of typing and clicking.

I know its like $200 but there are so many uses for it - once your making money and automate a whole bunch of your work - your going to say why didn't I get it sooner.

This is just my personal opinion, but you can consider AuraRank by Luka. I used his previous services (Vitarank) and the result was good.

Danny, could you tell me the amount of content your normal sites have on average? I'm at 10 Articles (x600 words) per site, with 7 reviews and 3 normal articles.
Is this gonna be enough or should I be adding more articles once I start to see SERP's increase for consistency?

Personnally, I,d say that its not enough. My new site got 34 articles in total and its driving 250 visitors a day. More (quality) articles = more traffic, which ends up with more sales. I havent done much linkbuilding. Maybe 20 links in total.

Hope it helps

The way I do it has been discussed alot already ..

But I always start with 5-8 pieces of content and see how I rank

When I start to see Sales I start adding more content -- I never add content on sites that don't sell something as sometimes no matter your best intentions in selecting keywords / traffic etc it won't work out .... so I try to keep my start up costs minimal.

Also I tend to never go above 15-18 pieces of content - as for good niches I make more sites and add the content to those sites.

Lastly I know everyone wants to outsource everything etc -- but you need to keep in mind - my sites have content either rewritten or written by me depending on what I could get for each niche.

Almost all my sites have customization and looking at my competition I feel are superior to theirs -- and those two things are important ---> compete in keywords you can win on and make sure your site is best in class so to speak ... give yourself every possible edge to be successful.
