Apologies if this has been posted or talked abou at length before, but I did some searches and couldn't find anything. I was wondering if there are any services out there that provide negative SEO, like building porn or gambling links to a website. And before everyone tells me to just do good SEO and not mess with trying to bring someone else down, here's the situation.

I've got a friend (honestly, it's not me) who got listed on a website with some information he doesn't want to be public knowledge, and it comes up #1 if you Google his name or a few variations of it. We built a couple websites with his name as the domain and add content to them every few days, did all the necessary on-site SEO and even ordered an SEO package from here with great results. That package created a ton of profiles and such with his name on them, and those started ranking on page 1. Last week the bad website was progressing downward and we even cleared the first page for one of the search results.

This week, however, it's back up to #1 on all search results. We have an exact match domain with a ton of links and fresh content. Aside from creating more links and profiles, etc., the only thing I can think to do is to try to attack the bad website, unless anyone has any other ideas.

What is the site ranking #1 (you can PM me). This will make it much easier to diagnose, and come up with a solution.

I believe there are neg seo services on fiverr. order shitty scrapebox blasts with porn and gambling keywords.

Better use the keyword hes trying to rank for as anchor. as this looks way more like the site owner is trying to cheat search engines.

If that info is true, then your friend deserves it. If its false, then go to police.
Simple as hell :D

What is the Url you are trying to get rid of?

building backlinks to the site that you don't want seen, will only help rank the negative link.

You don't need negative SEO, you need reputation management. And its not cheap but if you're serious about getting rid the negative link PM me.

I don't think anyone wants to gran a niche on someone's name. As for my friend, let's just say he's done some things in the past that he's not proud of and has turned his life around after a lot of hard work. There's a site that comes up very high when you Google his name, so I'm just trying to help him out.

To those of you who've reached out with suggestions, thanks.

Negative SEO is becoming big these days. People are killing off their competition with it if done right.

In 99.9% of cases if won't work as a negative SEO.

Negative SEO != tons of shitty links as much as good SEO != tons of shitty links.

I don't see anyone voting for you as a judge here.

Whether he deserves it or not deserves according to you is irrelevant to the topic.

Although this thread is over a month old, did you find a solution to your problem yet? If not let me know, I may be able to provide a solution

With the Penguin update, I wonder if the rank changed any how?

This sounds like one of those blackmail sites. They post your mugshot with your arrest detail but if you pay a certain amount of money it will be removed from there site. I don't really think there is that much you can do in that case because their business model is to rank high for the reason of blackmail.

What domain is it on? If it's a site with a lot of authority then negative SEO likely won't do anything and may even reinforce their rankings.

Your best option is probably to either get it taken down or outrank them.

Yes it does sound this way.
But there's always a way around everything. Use their own weapons against them
