one question tho, when seomoz, ahrefs and majestic learn about this will they not quickly look to shut you down?
because in essence your destroying their monthly fees business model or have you anticipated this?

No, not at all

We pull summary backlink data (number of links, linking domains, etc from the various providers using our own APIs that we pay for) The actually raw list of individual backlinks is pulled from SEOMoz and their free API. Each user just signs up for their own free SEOMOZ API account to get the backlink data.

After using the 7 day trial, I HAD to buy this software. It's totally awesome!

I buy expired domains with high PR and for that knowing the backlink profile of the high PR site is everything. Before Backlink Miner I had to use Majestic SEO and aHrefs to MANUALLY open an check for each backlink's PR.

If an expired domain looked like it was a winner, I had to checked at least 20 backlinks (open them just to see their PR) to make my final decision.

Now with Backlink Miner all I have to do is: Put the domain URL, click and I'm done!!!

This is a time-saver and for its price is a no-brainer also. Love it, love it.

Just a suggestion for future updates:

If I checked a URL and want to check another, I have to select the URL with my mouse and then delete it. It would be nice to have a "clean the already analized URL so you can paste the new URL" botton

Thanks for the great review. Glad it is making your life easier! Funny you should mention using it for expired domains. This was one of the reasons I developed it because it took me forever to analyze the backlink profiles of expired domains. Time is of the essence when doing this especially if you are trying to grab closeout domains on GoDaddy or want to pick up domains that have already dropped and available to register.

The faster you can find the good ones the better chance you have of beating others to register it.

Yeah, the main box.

Just below "Analyze" (with the little orange gear image) and above the "URL summary only" option.

If I put a very long URL to analize, then when I want to analize another URL I have to manually selected the entire url and then delete it.

It would be nice a "clear the URL" button.

Is backlink miner a self updating software ? so far there is no update at all.

Not at the moment. The next update we release will include auto updating. Also, the next update is pretty large and is just getting underway so it will take some time. I've taken all the feedback from our beta testing and sales threads and we're tackling most of the major requests (more backlink sources, support for importing ahrefs, and majestic data, scanning your own list of urls, and greatly increasing the number of backlinks per domain/url to well over 1000 being the major additions.)

Not yet, most of my time has been focused on planning and designing the updates mentioned above. It's something I hope to take a look at but first we felt it was best to shore up the software in other areas first.

How many total backlinks can it extract? Is there a limit? I am sure it won't extract all the backlinks which are seen in Ahrefs...right?

This software has inactive updates. From the release of backlink miner till 4/4/2013 the software never update at all.

As I replied to you a few posts back, (in detail) we are working on an update and it will take time as a lot of new data sources are being added and doing so requires some substantial rewrites of code. Then we have to test everything out which takes a while too.

Using the free SEOMoz API you can get 1000 backlinks at a time. If you have an SEOMoz Pro account you can import up to 10,000 backlinks at a time. With the update we are working on you will be able to get substantially more links for a domain (10,000+...if of course the domain has that many links) and SEOMoz API will not be required any longer but will still be available as an additional data source.

If it is operating as described than I suggest that you exercise some patience and wait for an update wit new features.

We don't pull the actual link data from ahrefs and majestic, just from SEOMoz. The "fireball" one is SemRush We just use them to give an idea of the keyword rankings a site/url has.

Shoot me a PM with an example of what you are seeing and I'll take a look and if it is an issue I'll send it on to the developer.
