I am getting error "Null response received from SEOMoz , the analysis will not continue"

I had this yesterday. When I went to seomoz manually (web browser) noticed just a white screen with seomoz error message. So it's rather them who screwed up.

Me too, but I think it's SEOmoz's fault. I tried to get help via pm from the creators of this software, but I did notice the past few days on SEOMoz they upgraded something and had to go back to an old database ebcasue it screwed things up. So I dunno...

Yes, basically this error is shown when the application receives an empty/null response from SEOmoz (for any reason).

Sorry for being MIA, been working on the update (which will be released shortly)

For the NULL responses from SEOMoz, if they do not have data on a URL then you will receive that error. There is really nothing we can do about that. There has also been another issue with SEOMoz where for seemingly random domains/urls their API would return a NULL response even though their index reports links for it. I got word from their support yesterday (after a few weeks of back and forth) that they think that issue is resolved.

If you still see this issue (OSE reports backlinks but API pulls none) shoot me a PM and I will submit the problem domains to SEOMoz to take a look at.

We finally got our latest update finished! It took longer than we had hoped (what doesn't when it comes to software development?) but I think it is a great step forward for the software.

Here are some of the key updates:

1) Live update support - all future updates will be delivered via live update so no more installing and uninstalling new versions

2) New Backlink Sources - in addition to SEOMoz data we now pull from Blekko and SEOKicks.de. This greatly increases the number of backlinks you can pull per domain. we are also looking in to other sources to add.

3) Import data from Ahrefs and MajesticSEO - if you have an account with either of these services you can now import data from them

4) Import your own url list - you can now import your own list of urls that you scrape from scrapebox or any other tool/method you use to find potential backlinks

5) Live Backlink Check - added the ability to check and see if the backlinks are still live.

6) Analyze Backlinks By Keyword - you can now search on a keyword and extract the backlinks for the top 10 results in Google. A great way to analyze the backlinks of the top ranking sites for any keyword!

There are a few other minor additions, usability tweaks and bug fixes as well.

jeremy killed it with this update! what a big improvement! this shows how stand up this guy is: the tool is not skyrocketing in sales i guess (like sb for example) and still he cares for his current clients with monster updates. thanks for that, bro!

Yes, unfortunately we had to make decisions on which updates to include and which to cut. Adding more backlink sources and compatibility with other 3rd party tools were far and away the most requested updates (and the most time consuming to add). When faced with getting an update out and preventing the time frame for delivery slipping further some things had to be left for future updates.

Wow, you guys just took an awesome program and made it WAY better... Just played with the update and the difference is huge! Well done guys... If you don't have this tool yet, you're really missing out.

Excellent update that adds more link checkers to the party and seems faster (maybe just me)
but the major upgrade has to be the update function, now no more uninstall and re install

i don't think the tables would fit in a pdf page. and multiple pages would just make it harder to differentiate the relation. i may be wrong though. will have to wait for the devs to reply.
