The F*ck is wrong with Death By Captcha

Here's some of the issues I'm facing with Death By Captcha:

Frequent Overloads
Captcha Service is Not Responding Errors
Too Frequent Captcha Answer Was Wrong Errors (Site Now Reports 86.6 Accuracy Rate)

I really liked the service, but it appears there are some issues still unresolved. I'll fund an alternative provider's captcha breaking service and give them a shot. Please let us know when the Death By Captcha network can be reliably used again. Thanks.

I agree with the OP. I do not care what your account page states. Most of my bots are real time and I can see the freaking idiots typing the wrong captchas. My hotmail generator. I pull 500 hotmails. Deathbydecaptcha said I had one fail although it took over 1600 credits to obtain those 500 emails.

You do the math. Yeah they are cheap and they have some virtual employees who report there own failure rates. Come on guys, yeah they may get kicked but they just change names and come back with an alias. Now this is not a rant but it is a bad rave cause I have seen this for two weeks now with several different bots of mine. Captcha sniper doesn't do hotmail so that sucks but bet I won't go back to DBC ever.

First off- My sincere apologies for the bad experience you've faced with the service. Would you please kindly PM me your DBC account username to look carefully through your submissions? The success rates you're mentioning are not by any means normal.

Please also remember that your software/script is responsible for marking wrongly decoded images as incorrect. If an image is properly reported as badly decoded, your balance won't decrease.

When i contact your support, they answer me that they know for fraud from their site, but they can not back money to my account. How about when the software marks the captcha as incorrect and what your system does is suspend the user account because of many incorect captchas?

I think that is not fair I got guys who got their account banned because your workers are NOT capable of solving their captchas at a decent rate and since our software reports it back correctly saying hey is not correct DO NOT charge them you guys suspend the user account with no warning.

Do you think that is fair? The other day one of my guys sent 1k captchas and out of the 1k just 200 were correct and bam you guys suspended his account. Why? he is not doing something wrong is your workers the ones not paying attention and solving the captchas correctly. Why does the user has to be penalized for that?

Normally our service will give a temporary ban to an account if we detect that many correct images are being marked as incorrect. Some false positives may arise thou; we are working hard on optimizing this system to reduce these inconveniences to the minimum. However, when this happens support will restore the account upon contact and will compensate the user if he was negatively affected.

It's also worth noting that often the source website of the CAPTCHA itself marks correctly decoded images as badly solved. I've verified this myself recently with new Twitter images.

I would really appreciate if you could tell your mates / clients to contact DBC's Support if their accounts ever get banned. We'll naturally restore the accounts banned because of this and compensate people accordingly.

My point is that your service should not suspend an user account even if is a temp ban because a software or a website marks a good solved captcha as incorrect. Is not the users fault he is doing NOTHING wrong so why is he getting penalized?

If the site marks a correct captcha as bad the software has no option but to mark it as bad too because at the end of the day the site required an extra captcha to be solved and marked the previous one as incorrect.

THe huge problem here that is your customers the one getting penalized for shit that is not their fault and is seriouslly hurting your business. Keep in mind this most softwares support many services so if the users get hit with a temp ban for shit that is not their fault they will just start using another service and take their money away from yours. I am just giving you and advice here bro if you continue to ban accounts for no reason then you will keep losing customers as many of them will not go back even if you unban their accounts.

I got guys who have being banned 3 times in a row already. They get banned they contact your support and they get unabbned so their resume their activities and a few hours latr bam they are banned again so do you think they will load more money once they run out of captcha credits? You can bet your ass that they wont. Please take this into consideration as we are trying to help you here.

Yes that new twitter captcha might be a bitch but is twitter the one saying that is incorrect not the customer or the software that they are using so is not their fault and they should not be penalized with a temp ban for that.

Recently deathbycaptcha keep failing to solve captcha. Even when I'm creating hotmail using magic submitter it failed.

That being said, I believe that you would agree with me that it's also unfair for our human solvers to get penalized when they do their job properly. Please consider that we charge per correct solves in our packages. Reporting correct images as incorrect deeply hurts the service as well, as a) it unfairly punish our work force; b) causes us loses and c) ultimately decrease the quality of the service.

However, as our customers come first , we're working on tuning up our mechanisms to reduce false positives and compensating everyone who's been negatively affected by this.

Well in December they just took around 50$ (48$ balance left after last top-up) without any reason (well they claims that I used it BUT it was 24th December, and server were off, no campaigns no nothing), when I requested log from that day they just ignored me...

Simple 48$ disappeared and I can't do anything about it.

My suggestion pay more and get better service. Now we are using another company and no problem, at all (plus real price of DBC counting disappeared 48$ + high unsolved ratio would be much higher than 3$ per 1000)...

I'm working in soft dev company so support and contact with customers is on 1 place. There is nothing more important than to reply to customer (even if someone will discover bug and we can't do anything with it until next release), this isn't only for business but it is also polite.

If the website says that is incorrect then I am sorry pal but is incorrect the software has to mark it as incorrect and it has to send a second captcha in. Indeed, our customers certainly come first! ! However, the reasoning behind the mechanism is very straight-forward: captcha solving is offered, and then captcha solving is delivered properly. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you that your registration attempt will be successfull nor be liable for it, as many factors out of our hands play role (your proxy, your software methods, connection stability, etc).

To illustrate my point, marking a correct solve as incorrect because the website and/or any other external factor denied it is like asking for a refund to a calling card company because you've used up the balance on a wrong call, with the difference that in our case you actually get refunded instantly (as the solve isn't billed).

You care comparing oranges with limes here bud. Let me ask this how do you determine that a captcha was correct if the sites says that is incorrect?

I understand that if the problem is a bad proxy connection or a stability issue inside the software then is not your issue but if all goes well and the site pops up a big message saying "The words you typed didn't match. Try again!" then I am sorry but it was an incorrect captcha. We do not care what your inner system might say and none of your customer care either the site said that is incorrect and it only gets marked as incorrect when that message pops up. So is not about if the registration goes well or not. Like you said lots of things can go wrong but in this case is your system the one that is wrong as is the website the one saying that is an incorrect solve and like I said in my last post they are the ones who have the last word as of if a captcha is correct or not.

To determine this, you could simply check your recent (last 60 minutes) CAPTCHA usage; while logged to our website, on ''My Account'' section you'll see the Previous Submissions link (http://deathbycaptcha.eu/user/captchas).There you'll see all the CAPTCHAs you're sending and the responses we're giving you. You could also log the results on your side (some software have this feature).

In general, this matter is not primarily caused by the websites thou, but by software/proxy configuration/malfunction. Usually, the issue is reported and then the vendor fixes it and things get back to normal.

Please let me know if you hit any other roadblock with the service and I'll take care of it ASAP. I also encourage you (and everybody actually) to inform your negatively affected buddies to contact our support and they'll be compensated for the inconveniences.

My DBC is working fine, however DeCaptcher was having a 70% fail rate for me a week ago, I switched over to DBC when that started happening and still have like $40 credit on my decaptcher account.
