I have a big keyword list that I want to harvest. I have a good source of proxies. But they burn out after about 5 hours and then I collect another list of the proxies. Is it possible that once I have to stop harvesting I can continue on from where I left off instead or re scraping the same sites again?

In backlink checker is there a way to export all URL's were there was no backlinks were extracted/scraped because of error 404/403?

that way i can retry those URL's again.

You can just go to export and export as a CSV. That will export all the error/aborted and the count as well. Anything with a -1 as the backlink count didn't complete. So just sort the list and then pull those back out and run them again.

Not exactly. However the easier way to do it would be to use the custom harvester and just let it refresh your proxies on the fly and then you would just automate the entire process.

Have you tried adding a small wait between posting each list?

If the first list is working fine and it's the second etc that isn't working, a guess could be they're not completing as when scrapebox is trying to load the next step, the first one hasn't quite completed.

(This is just a complete guess, but might be worth a try)
I have tried but nothing.

I am getting pretty angry with this . Beacuse this was the main reason why i have bought scrapebox automator and support cant help me.

Well, the automator can complete the task without a problem, so it's more likely than not something to do with your setup. It's just finding it that's the frustrating thing.

I just downloaded your SBJ, I had to change the directories used of course, but kept the concept the same and I posted and returned successful posts in a file with no problems.

Have you tried loading up the separate lists manually at all? If one of them was malformatted for example, I image that could stop the process.

As scrapefox says, try loading up each one manually and running it. Its most likely bad data in your files somewhere or something with your setup.

I bought Scrapebox on March 31st but still have not received an email. I also sent in a support ticket but no response. Can anyone help?

Edit: Just got an email with the link. Apparently Paypal was supposed to redirect me to the download page, but for whatever reason it never happened. Anyway, problem resolved!

Also for anyone else looking for the link like mentioned above, its a public link. Just google

Scrapebox download link

and you will find it listed a thousand+ times.

There's a new addon available from the addons menu.

ScrapeBox Article Scraper v1.0

As with most the addons, using it is fairly simple. You can add and use proxies, select the download folder for your articles, select the number of connections and to strip links from articles, and select the file encoding on the proxies and settings tab. On the harvester tab you can type or load your keywords, then hit start to begin scraping articles.

Hey sweetfunny it looks good and runs well except it just halted after scraping only the first two, of three, keywords and showed a sbarticlescraper error and then while trying to send the bug report it said it failed and then it crashed the addon. The articles were collected though, 390 of them, which brings up my next point...

Could you possibly create keyworded separate directories for each keyword searched as they're being scraped? Otherwise we'll have to only do one keyword at a time and create folders for each.

Thanks, great work as ever!

Tex

All fixed! sweetfunny has already uploaded a rebuilt Article Scraper addon that now works perfectly for me, w00t!

Thanks!

Haven't even had chance to test it out and there's already an update! Never disappoints!

This feature is already added and will be available in the upcoming 1.0.0.1 update of the addon. Stay tuned :)

Are you giving up to 90 seconds to stop. I assume you are, but if not then it could take up to your full timeout to release the socket and stop. Also of course any program that locks even 1 socket, such as an anti-virus program, will cause scrapebox to then effectively freeze and have to be killed by task manger. Make sure you add allow rules for scrapebox in all security programs.

It happened again :/
Anti-virus and firewall are disabled. Someone mentioned here that it happened to him also so I guess there is probably something wrong with bing source.

After 31 hours of scraping I have to close scrapebox in task manager again. I can not even check which keywords were done...

Well bing isn't going to cause something on your local pc to lockup. It could be that a url that is being harvested is being blocked as malicious or it could be that one of your programs doesn't like something else about data bing is sending back.

Its not scrapebox, if it were everyone of the tens of thousands of users using sbox would have the issue. If one other person has it, its safe to assume they have the same issue you do.

Its VERY important to note that disabling an anti virus and/or firewalls does NOTHING if the rule already exits. Its a failsafe of such programs. If a rule is created that blocks scrapebox or interferes and then you disable the anti-virus or firewall or both, the rule WILL still fire even with the programs disabled. Disabling them only prevents them from creating new rules.

So you would have to totally uninstall them in order to rule them out. That or you can just go into each one and scour thru the elements and make sure you delete any existing rules for scrapebox and add new rules that allow full access.

As a test you could restart your pc in safe mode with networking, verify that the internet works by loading web page like scrapebox.com. Then run scrapebox, does it happen? If not then its likely software on your pc and you just have to find it. Utorrent has been known to cause issues with sockets and other programs.

IF it still does it in safe mode (cause generally most 3rd part software will not launch in safe mode) then it could be in your network. So try white listing it in your your router or disable the router firewall as a test.

You can try shutting down all non essential programs like utorrent, skype, outlook, anything that runs and has anything to do with the internet or connects to it and then if it works start turning them back on one by one. Until you find the offending program.

The free Article Scraper addon was updated to version 1.0.0.1.
It now can create sub-folder based on the keywords, as suggested by texacola1.

After few hours of scraping my scrapebox has frozen :/

It happened to me first time like that. It was done scraping for Google and Yahoo but Bing scraping got frozen somehow and even "Stop Harvesting" button is not working. I just can not make it stop.

I guess the only way to close it down is by using task manager and killing the process but that will make me lose all my scraped websites...

Is there any temporary file that scrapebox uses for scraped results so I can copy it before closing scrapebox?

I'm using Windows 8 btw.

I am also facing the same problem. I am using Windows 7.

The urls are there in the harvester sessions folder, but the keywords data is lost, I mean which keywords have been processed and which keywords have been lost.

Anyone knows how this can be corrected?

Do you get an error message popup or is it just freezing and your killing it in task manager. If your getting an error message popup then you can get the scrapebox.elf file and email it to support. If its just freezing then its likely some 3rd party software on your pc that is interfering. So you need to find the offending program and add allow rules for scrapebox or disable/uninstall the program.
