tutughosh just showed me this >> http://www.seroundtable.com/bbc-google-link-penalty-16505.html

The BBC News, the world's largest broadcast news organization, has just received a unnatural links notification from Google. I kid you not.

A Google Webmaster Help thread has representative of the BBC web site asking Google for help in identifying the unnatural links, so they can make sure BBC.co.uk is clear of any Google penalty.

I wonder whats next...

BBC starts negative reporting on everything Google ?
about google's big bad monopoly practices / privacy policy?
a clash of the titans...

GO BBC GOO

bring out your porn corns...

some kids who wanted a keyword that bbc dominates, started spamming scrapebox links.
I can see the headline now!

BBC Webmaster Uses Disavow Link Tool, Recovers from Warning

WAHHH. who cares.

well i guest Matt Cutts will just deindex whole domain bbc.co.uk

They are all at it,the bbc will get preferential treatment but the upcoming penguin update will show the exent of it all and make google look like fools when the big names lose rankings, expect this to happen BEFORE they annouce the update they will probably do a mock update to see what is going to happen, manually adjust the big names then let it loose offically.

Wow, this is stupid impressive if someone did this and its not a glitch.

the bbc must get lots of natural links anyone, 100,000's a day.

To spam to the point where this is now a thing... sir i tip my hat to you...

Probably a prank, someone posing as a BBC representative to make it go viral like it has..... that's my opinion lol

if anything its just the bbc hitting a odd part of the algo but because its such a big site and they will get tons of crappy links it doesnt really matter the warning will be removed with no trouble

either that or what turbohacker said it was only on a forum i believe so it could have been anyone really.

It's indeed a smart plan, and bbc is not random, because it had to be someone big in order to change something,if this is the plan...

turbohacker is absolutely right. The whole story is complete and utter bullshit in my opinion. It's funny how this shit hits the blogs/forums just after Matt Cutts says big brands get penalized. What's not funny is how so many people can believe some anonymous person posting as a BBC employee in Google's webmaster trashing forum.

Hi Nick

Looking into the details here, what happened was that we found unnatural links to an individual article, and took a granular action based on that. This is not negatively affecting the rest of your website on a whole.

Cheers
John

This is payback from the tesla guys, a while back Top Gear put the tesla roadster to a challenge and it failed miserably, tesla sued, they lost, they called google which is down the street from tesla, slipped 2 million to page and brin, who then told cutts to throw a switch. However, not knowing english humor, the bbc will bring back Monty Pythons flying circus- more specifically the the twit races. The twit races will feature the founders of several internet companies to compete in such silly games such as, slap the begger, and matchbooks high jumping.

Someone at BHW is testing negative SEO techniques? lol

i don't know but someone heavily spammed my site
i recently discovered it while checking majestic seo, ahrefs and using GSA SER
GSA discovers spam links previously posted as verified :D
