Just curious, how are you affected by the latest update?

Out of my sites so far, two I've seen their ranks declining. But that's because I'm using a different SEO strategy than yours.

My Clicks are averaging about 10% more since about 6 days ago - I noticed some people in the main forum had said there was a Google Update or something - but for me seems to have been favorable compared to some... if that's what happened.

People always tend to worry about BackLinks more than me - trying to rush them and doing too many - I have a slow and steady approach --> and I strive for better content than anyone else - so it works for me.

You guys/girls are a lot more sensitive to small moves like that than me .. Because your just starting out with just a few sites .. Also your more likely to be negatively affected because some of you guys are using things like GSA .. Which are going to zero Google into what your doing.... Anyway focus on content and basic seo first ... Once you start getting Sales then go from there.

any seo? Nope.. Just made couple of social profiles thats all. Site structure is good and it looks pro. All i care is user experience. Low bounce rate and good time on site.

Write for the reader, not for google.

its just so true - if your site is well organized and provides a good user experience - and your content is rock solid -- you are 80% of the way there.

of course - Seo Strategy is important but when your looking for quality Google Search Traffic - you have to protect your sites from falling into the Spam Trap by being too aggressive/too fast.

The other thing people don't realize is there is so much information available on this website and from the BST areas its really tough to go wrong.

In the Download Section - you can try a bunch of templates till you find one you like
In the BST Services Section - you can contact Natasha about writing and ask a tonne of questions - to get good content
In The Download Section - you can download all sorts of PLR content - check it out and see how its written - and make a template that you like to do yourself or outsource.
In The BST Services Section - you can buy 1 LinkPush and check out the Sites they use and how it is structured
In BST Items for Sale - you can get Scrapebox and all kinds of Software you need
Youtube : you can get instructions and guides for just about everything related to using software and identifying keywords
..... people even sell Amazon Keywords all done for you.
You can go to WF : and buy Amazon Packs - with articles/reviews and graphics.
Search Google : type in your keywords check out the competition - check their keywords/ content/ template/plugins

The only obstacle for many maybe that some of the things have a learning curve - and require some cash to get started : but its the same as any business you want to build - you do need some time and capital ---> and sometimes the first thing you do - doesn't work quite right ---> so you learn from it and make something better/more targeted.

Anyway I hope people really get involved and stay motivated and appreciate what Amazon offers compared to other Affiliate Programs .. I'm off today .. check in tomorrow .. Good Hunting.

its not secret, that new website in google get easy rankings in first month, then after 30 days positions start moving in serp

Yeah thats what happened to my Magento Stores - they made money for 45 days or so - but then they died no matter what I did to try to keep them up in the rankings.

Thats why its so important to keep a somewhat normal Seo Strategy with these WP Sites -- they can rank and make you money
but that doesn't mean - that if you spam them .... they won't suffer the same fate.

Can you recommend a way to see all the searches on Amazon? someone showed me once but I cannot recall how it was done. Not looking for a paid software solution, but if that's all you can advise then that will do.

I'm sorry but I just am not going to answer these type of PM's ... I have 2 threads that tell you everything you need to know and where to get the things you need.

If you don't make some effort to help yourself - then I can't do everything for you..... I think most people would agree who have been following along would agree normally I answer just about every question no matter how many times I get asked the same thing - and if you have ever sent me a PM - you know that I try to answer you ASAP.

Please if you have questions post them here or read the thread .. only PM me your Urls if you want me to look at your site.

One other thing I want to make 110 % clear before anyone makes a decision to work with Amazon to generate commissions.

This is not a get rich quick scheme - spamming / redirects / BH traffic --> to me anyway are just not worth it for the short term gains they bring - when doing this correctly can bring you a safe/secure monthly check.

So if you want information / ideas / how to --- for that type of income then read this thread and the other Amazon Threads that are on BHW -- start taking notes and making lists and get to work.

For sure - read everything - prepare your notes and lists - and take action on 1 Site - learn everything about it - and once you find success or failure then take appropriate actions.

Success - Scale Up .. Failure - Identify the weaknesses - From Traffic / Site Organization / Keyword Rankings / Custom Buttons and Proper Text Link Placement / Custom Images --> test everything if nothing changes then start another site - but look for better Domain Name/Keyword Selection/Content and Template.

Remember it takes 2-3 months before you start seeing consistent Sales - before that it can be erratic as Google moves you up and down in the rankings.

Not that I disagree about quality, but I have two WP sites, very similar to what you refer to as Magento sites... 3 years old that are still making money every now and then without SEO. You read that right. Zero SEO.

Of course, that is an exception rather than the norm. Mosf the sites do not work. Only half a dozen visitors per day. But two of those hit the jackpot. Around 50-100 visitors per day. They are reaching long tail keywords so the traffic is also very targeted. They just convert.

Perhaps that's because Magento sites are not as optimized as WP? Last time I checked, there's a book for Magento SEO. With WP, most plugins and themes are SEO ready so that is an edge.

Also, it's hard to rank category pages such as "double baby strollers" without much on-page content. E-commerce sites include a few hundred words of descripton on top or at the bottom of the page to add weight to the page. Perhaps that will help a bit, if you're still interested in salvaging them.

After reading so many threads here in BHW, I forget what I read easily. Even after finishing a couple of sites using this method, I still learn many new things every time I reread this.

This is from someone who have read at least half a dozen make money from Amazon ebooks, built a dozen Amazon affiliate sites and more promoting products from other networks.

Sometimes the minutiae is the game changer. From this thread, for instance, I learned that SEO is now very similar to media buy. Churn out many micro or mini sites. Stick with that works and throw away the rest.

Just like in media buying. Test 10 campaigns. If only 2 of them work, scale up. That could be the $1,000 / week campaign.

SEO is NOT free. In fact, it can be far more costly up front if you consider investing in SEO tools from the get go. Not to mention that it takes longer to see results. I still remember my first media buy. I turned profit after spending $200 testing. That all happened in three days.

Right now, you can easily spend that amount for domain name, hosting, content and two small SEO campaigns (I'm talking about BST here.) Then you have to sit down and wait for months to respond.

I dont agree with you. The thing is that my site doent rank for any particular keywords. I just get shit load of long tail because my content is high quality. Freshness factor, good site structure, authorship is the way to go. Keyword will rise in couple of weeks.
