The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

I ordered my payoneer card, got one question. When i connect that payoneer card with amazon, will they pay me every 60 or 30 days ?

Payments will be same as me - every 60 days from month end.

Someone was asking me on PM how much traffic do you need to make a Sale.

I prefer to talk in Amazon Clicks Vs Sales not absolute traffic.

Because if you buy traffic - you drive alot of crap traffic - that stuff is irrelevant

These sites make it or break it on Buying Keywords - that is what drives Sales not pumping
through a bunch of traffic not related to the exact things your trying to sell.

Which is why position on Google is so valuable - with 20 great targeted visitors you can make Sales
with 10,000 random people non targeted - its meaningless to me really.

All I am wanting is Clicks vs Sales everything else to me is noise.

Can you explain more about external products on amazon, does amazon pay for those, if so how much?

Much appreciated!

Hey danny when ur leaving high pr backlinks manually does it matter if u leave ur full http : d o m ain dot c o m or domaindotcom/certainarticle or are they equal? Cheers!

What external products are you talking about ? there are other smaller programs they have with higher commission - but just look on your affiliate page for those.

Mix and Match as much as possible - avoid the look of Spam at all cost.

Hi Danny,

Did you notice any of your Amazon sites dropping rankings this month after this last update. Im wondering if they are targetting affiliate saites. Thanks

My Clicks are averaging about 10% more since about 6 days ago - I noticed some people in the main forum had said there was a Google Update or something - but for me seems to have been favorable compared to some... if that's what happened.

People always tend to worry about BackLinks more than me - trying to rush them and doing too many - I have a slow and steady approach --> and I strive for better content than anyone else - so it works for me.

Lets face it --- If I build a new site today - do you think its realistic to start building 100 links a day to it ??

Or in 3 months - build 1,000 links a day .... or run GSA direct to your money site ?

These type of things stick out like a sore thumb --- try to protect your money sites at all costs - even if it takes a little longer to get where you want.

Otherwise you going to end up in the Toilet and get discouraged.... the money will come if done correctly.

Hi Danny1111,

Do you ever buy products you review? or review products you already own?

Regards

Well I had a Site that Dominated a Niche. I looked at some of the other Sites who weren't ranking well and what products they were selling for their legitimate businesses

and told them if they gave me their product for free - I would review them on my site and link to their product on Amazon.

So I got a few free products that way.

The thing is for me there is no point doing electronics due to the low commissions - and that is alot of what I know - so I don't typically buy to review or stuff like that.

Maybe later when or if I build a huge Site then I would do that - but for more laser targeted sites no I probably wouldn't bother.

You want to promote your business or site ?

Then go look at Sites that make Promotional Materials - Pens/Glasses/Bags stuff like that SweatShirts etc

and get them to send you some Samples - and just buy some cheap stuff - and give it away to your friends
or buy stuff / get samples to promote your Seo Business

Don't just sit in front of the computer all day saying there is nothing I can do today - there is tonnes of things if you get off your backside
and do something. Most of those places will give you free samples as long as you have a website.

Anyway enough of a rant - I need to get back to work // cheers.

So I remember jumping into this thread when I first got banned with my blogspot site that was pulling in some money monthly. My plans were to built an authority review site targetting hundreds of low hanging keywords on everything I could think of.

I am back working with amazon and was wondering what your thoughts are on my plan. Would it be a good idea to have each page/post be on a different topic and just try to rank that page? I have a pretty good brand-able domain and have about 8 big reviews up so far.

Also, if this is a reasonable plan, how would you work out the navigation? Since I plan to have hundreds of posts I am not really sure how to structure this so it still looks clean. As of right now, i have general categories up top with drop down menus. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help you ..... I don't make Sites that way - so I don't know what Sells and what doesn't.

Danny I would love to know what do you consider as an authority site. Actualy I'm working on some MNS and a +100 articles website that's generating around 150 visits/day, and that's loaded with new unique content daily (google index my articles within 15min) does this make it an authority? How can it be improved? (I've made +$50 since the begining of this month btw...). I'm not making ANY backlinking btw, maybe some Ezine article/squeedo lenses later.

I can't provide advice for that type of Site - my sites start at 5-8 and go up to 20-25 for a profitable site - but that's about it.

You will have to experiment and figure out what converts best and how to best make a Sale.

I guess someone referred to Amazon products which display as "Available on external website."

You got no commission from promoting such products, so stay away. Those are Product ads.

yeah if thats what was being to referred to - then you need to avoid those products.

it's kind of easy really- good products have lots of reviews --- new products are the other choice that have alot of hype.

what I do is stick to products that people really need and are expensive - that way sales may rise and fall during the year - but I make money from them -- then you just need to diversify niches - so all sites are not down at the same time ... then you get these google updates that sometimes work for you and sometimes against you.

but did you see what was the first thing Matt Cutts listed - Content // so there lies your answer and its what I have been saying all along --- > get the best content you can - - and when it makes Sales add more ... if your not getting Sales don't add more content till it does.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it's worth repeating. Before you begin a site or pick a product, check out Amazon's list of excluded products (can't post a link, but you can Google it). You don't want to sell something ineligible for commission.
