Facebook Page Hacked. Wtf happened?

My 1 year old highly active facebook page with 165K likes got hacked. I no longer have admin access to it and the new owner is spamming it.
How did this happen? There were two other content creators on the page who were removed too. Recently G-S-T warned about the new trick of scamming people's pages so I was well aware of such messages but there was no such message on my page and still the page is gone.

This is annoying. We build the page, put in lot of effort, spend over ads. For what? To lose the page? How is facebook justifying its security where anyone can lose his/her pages. And even when such things occur, their support is so awesome that they don't even care to reply and report back to a user having trouble.

I have no idea. Page was fine until yesterday night, woke up today morning to see that I am no longer admin.
The only app that has access to manage my facebook pages is Ifttt. This automatically makes posts on my tumblr account as I post on the page.

Yes of course. I am the manager and then there are 2 content creators who help me manage the page.

make sure you are aware from Rats and Malwares or FUD Javadrive

and than clean ur pc for virus
u may have keylogger
or you got ur facebooka ccount hacked

Check your account's Active sessions in security tab. You were keylogged I guess.

There was a vulnerability in facebook that was disclosed a few days ago, I'm pretty sure it is patched now, it allowed the hijacking of pages. There is also a vulnerability being sold on the internet that allows a user to send a private message from any account, there is even a video of the attacked sending a message from mark zuckerbergs (sp) account.

So it's facebook's fault or someone has your password. Or it is possible that someone stole your session cookies, this could have happened when you viewed a page with injected javascript due to a cross-site scripting vulnerability (XSS).

I contacted them through a feedback form. I have scanned my PC, no such program or malicious tool found.
My facebook account is also secure and I receive an instant notification if some other user logs in from different location.

Did you give full admin to someone as opposed to 'content creator'? That's the only way someone can steal your page. And if so, there's a lesson to learn there.

No I m sure. I'm the only manager on the page. I have other pages smaller ones like 50K which are safe, only this page got hacked.

Ok I finally got the id of the person who hacked my facebook page.
It turns out that he is the content creator of my page. Strange.
What can I do to retrieve the page back from him? Ideas?
He is from phillipines.

i can't help, but you may want to consider editing out that fb url, it reveals your page
