The whole lance armstrong debacle

My view on all of this:

Yes cheating is wrong and unfair in sport, however in Lance A's case- i'm not so aggrieved...

The Livestrong Foundation would not have been so successful without being able to leverage the success of Lance's career.
->The foundation has generated $500 million dollars to help those who have cancer.
->It has helped over 2.5 million people.

Like I say, without Lance's cheating, millions of people wouldn't have been helped by his foundation.

I'm looking at the bigger picture here, fuck it, its only sport- peoples lives have been saved & helped by the work of the charity.

To make this IM related. Would it be profitable for a blackhatter to sponsor Lance Armstrong as it would make news that he is getting a new sponsor, even just sending a press release that you are going to sponsor him even if your not, might make big news.

Years of lies, bullying and cheating. Damaged lives. Destroyed cycling careers. Was it worth it?

Why aren't they going after the people like Ray Lewis and other sports stars doping up?

They all do it, by and large, only the naive can't see that, Arnie was doping in the late seventies ffs, let alone almost every other top "athlete" after and in between.

they all in on it, its a way of life for them, at least he give plenty to charities to ease his guilt, i read that these protein shakes can take u over the limit, i never heard of him till he was busted

Performance enhancing drugs need to become legal and accepted, there are so many benefits that those drugs offer.

This scumbag sued people/companies that dared to suggest he was taking drugs and he won many lawsuits and made millions from this. I hope all the people that were sued by him get every cent back with interest. Then throw the fucker in prison for the rest of his natural life....

Lance was using bh tactics and got caught up in the latest google update. Lesson learned, use all tactics and balance risk vs reward. Lance will be fine, 2 years from now everyone will forget, he will start a comeback after his suspension, come in last but save his name. He had his share of success, wealth, and fame. I blame the us cycling team that allowed him to do it.

Lance Armstrong "cheating" is not what makes him a total tool in my eyes. What makes him a tool is the fact that he sued tons of people who said he was using steroids while claiming that he never did, so he made millions just off of this. He also took his friends and family members who supported him and when someone lashed out at him over drug allegations his friends and family members stood up for him and said "No, he didn't" - and he knew the entire time he was using enhancers. He could have told them "Yeah, it's true... but simply ignore those that are hating on me." Instead he made everyone who supported him look like douche bags because he lead them to believe something that wasn't true.

I personally do not care if athletes use performance enhancers. They should be allowed, regulated to an extent that it can still be safe.

Well if you believe in karma then you can rest assured that good old Lance will be going through years of legal hell including have the USPS wanting $90 million in punitive fines from him. Rest in hell Lance!

From what I've heard from my cycling friends, the entire cycling community is filled with cheaters at that high level.

I'm not really too worried about it.... he's not the first person to cheat, and he raised a ton of money for cancer research....

He got called, and now he has zero titles. It should probably just end there while everyone forgets the name Lance Armstrong. Of course, it would be different if what he did had nothing to do with the sport.... like, if he was cheating on his wife. Then I would say "what does that have to do with his performance as an athlete?" But clearly, this guys attention debt is long past due. Lets just forget and move on.
