I am quite surprised that you can really reach 0.1 - 0.2$ for US traffic. I have asked some PPC guys, they said it is possible - they say you have to prove you are solid marketer - with quite high daily budget for longer time.

Might this be the main factor?

Having some trouble with this method... I have an ad up right now (actually four split-tested ones) that is well-targeted IMO with a poll and related offer after the vote. I started it out right away at $.10 CPC and got about 1,000 views and 2 clicks (good CTR, right?) before it suddenly stopped showing to any users. The target group is about 6.5 million large. I upped the CPC and got about the same results, but around 9,000 impressions and 9 clicks it stopped showing to anyone again. Now I've upped it to .30 bid (which is barely, if at all profitable) and have received basically no more impressions, AGAIN. What am I doing wrong? CTR is healthy, daily budget is at $100 (most I can afford on testing this right now)...

Also, conversions. I've had 15 clicks so far and just one conversion (spending more money than I'm making by far). Is this a case of small sample size, or should I be legitimately worried about my offer and poll at this time? Offer is a simple e-mail submit that's very highly correlated with my poll's question.

Forgot to add -- I also have a version of this ad that I"ve targeted to everyone on facebook 18+ in hopes of getting cheap clicks. This version of the ad, despite having a $.30 CPC bid on it, is actually getting FAR LESS reach than the targeted ones with a 6.5M audience. Does facebook hate mass campaigns, or what?

get out of your niche then :/ My niche is converting at 30% 2 cent clicks with a 1.6% CTR.

Try targeting it more and split test your ads. It will show eventually.

Got out of my niche, started another one last night. I went with CPM right from the get go (I know, test at CPC first, but my lowest possible bid was $.60). I ended up getting a CPM of about .18 and a CTR of .07%. Not amazing, but the thing is, of all 31 clicks I got today... they all voted in my poll (lander from here) and were directed to a very targeted offer. Of those 31 clicks to the offer, I got ZERO conversions - and the offer landing page seems totally reasonable to me, I don't know what's going wrong here. I'm hemorrhaging money and don't understand this total lack of conversion. I don't want to blame the lander/method, since it's coming from someone so experienced...

I have, although it doesn't seem to be worth much -- I've coded the landing page to direct the user to different offers based on the poll option that they choose, correlated with their poll option (rather than just a 'free gift' for voting). I thought it would drastically increase targeting, especially with the polls / offers I was running, but no dice.

Obviously I will continue trying new things in this arena, I guess I'm just venting... maybe a small part of me hoped there's something blatant I'm missing.

im reading some conflicting reports.

is it better to go fir big words? lets say ipad, apple, blackberry.

or is it better to try to put in stuff like americas got talent, because people who watch that show arent that smart and would probably fall for free ipad stuff?

or is it better to tweak in a little more the keywords like "hanging out with friends"

am i thinking the right way here?

i donwloaded the template and i installed it on my wordpress website and i only get a white background page with the poll but no button to submit the answer!
I know i have to change the code to write what i want but (as a noob on coding) i have also to change something to have the facebook image and the button ?
