Do I disable the database when I upload pictures?
you don't need to do that, disabling the database doesn't have any effect on the picture uploading

it effects the following, liking and commenting
btw it's a smart and needed feature, because depending on the limits you set, but even after just a few days of running, if you leave the database enabled, you'll have pretty big .txt files and continuously accessing those can and will slow down the processes and/or your comp if you don't have a decent machine
it's not a problem with the bot, but it can be a problem with the machine you're using if it's not powerful enough
this feature can be enabled/disabled anytime tho

Do I disable the database when I upload pictures? I set the time for 4:00pm nothing happen but its 30-60 how long do I have to wait!!
dude, i don't even know what timezone you live in
so RTFM

picture uploading does work, the scheduler just uploaded another set for my accs

if you want the tool to scrape by different hashtags, you just need to put them in the following form:
#hashtag1, #hashtag2, #hashtag3 ....

yes, it will search for all the hashtags defined by you from time to time, however i don't know if those results are the most recent ones or random ones, the dev can answer to this

hi there! thanks for the help!!!

few more things i would like to understand in the scheduler module.
1) Comment/like per account - should i set this to the limit by the instagram???or the program will still commenting/liking as soon as it reaches the limit??
2)if i want it to repeat hourly whole day for 3 days, i just copy the task set it as 24hr..and highlight all 24 tasks duplicated and set it to 3 days??im not sure im doing it the dumb way but is there any easier way to do this??
3)right now i only want to try on my own account to get familiar with the whole bot first, is there anyway i can make it like some photos and comment some other photos instead?? because if i do it the way stated in 2)..i probably couldnt do the same thing on commenting because the time slot assign to lliking photos..am i right??

1) Stay within the limits to be safe. Most of us have found that even if you set to exceed this, Intagram simply won't process outside the limits anyway.

2) easy mate.... just set up the task you want done each hour, and set to repeat every hour for 72 hours = 3 days :)
3) These function independently of each other in the bot. Set up your "likes" with the hashtags you want, set to repeat X times, then set up the comments you want with the hastags you want scraped, and again set to repeat X times.

..... hopefully that's all correct rockong :)

Now, I need to ask something @rockong.

So up until, now, my marketing has mostly revolved around follows and to a lesser extent likes and comments. All my profiles have images that were manually selected by me. Started to do a little testing with the image poster..... I was very surprised to find that even if you set manual source for the images, by using multiple accounts, it's the same images that get posted to each account ???

Is this intentional? I would think randomly selecting images and assigning them to each account would be far more productive? I mean I just spent hours scraping some 10,000 images, hoping to set up the scheduler and have it fire images off for a few weeks over dozens of accounts. I thought that was the whole point of scheduling image posting. I mean if in the course of an hour you have dozens of accounts putting out the same 8 images, that just looks like marketing SPAM right?

Also, if you were to repeat this task in the scheduler, for say 24 hours, it would be the same 8 images being published by all the accounts every hour!

Sorry if I'm missing something here, but that just doesn't seem right at all. Please let me know if I'm not setting something up correctly. Like I said I haven't had a chance to really work with the image uploader yet.

Maybe a future update?

The Unfollow module should have an "ALL" option instead of the date... wasting time retrieving followers from December 5, then Dec6, then Dec7...

Is there a way to just list them ALL?!

Thanks!

You simply have to put the date very far back, like when the account was created so that you can grab all of your followers. Essentially the same thing :)

Hey mate, pls answer me

You bot fully working now? following, unfollowing and uploading picture??

Unfollowing and uploading images, yes. Mass Follows, yes. Regular follows, no, but we're working on the update now. Instagram updated their app so we have to sync up with theirs - easy fix no worries!

hi guys!
just made my purchase but i could only use it after i got home tonite..anyway i had read thru the ebook,it mentioned that we could like n comment photos by searching a hashtag..just wondering is it possible to define a set of hashtags to like or comment instead of just one?? and by using the scheduler module..does it mean that it will start to search the hashtag defined by us from time to time n like the most recent ones?? sorry for the noob questions as im kinda new to these

Hey,

Honey responded to your message. However, I want to point out that when putting in hashtags, you don't need the space. ie: hashtag1,hashtag2,hashtag3, etc

Anyone have troubles uploading pictures?

Support questions go to email inbox please. Although it seems you already have done that and posted on the forums. You need to log into your account via web.stagram or instagram to check your most updated activity. So there's no troubles uploading, you're just not accessing the data through the right methods.

That is a good point. I'll have to talk with dev about that and see what we can do because that's no good. Thank you for pointing that out SEO_Alchemy!

@Seo_Alchemy: i figured that out too

i wanted to upload 1 random picture per hour from manual source to 50 accounts
what i did:

- i put 50 pictures into 1 folder, then i made 23 copies of it
- i downloaded an app called "Advanced Renamer" which can randomize the order of any type of files in a folder then renames them to your liking
- so finally i had 24 folders with the same 50 images but in random order
- then i loaded the 24 folder of images into the scheduler one-by-one, linking every folder to its appropriate hour

but yea, maybe pointing this out in this thread was a better solution lol

my bad

hey honey&rockong thanks for all the helpful replies!!!
just now when i was trying to scrape followers from an account..somehow it only comes out with 100++ results while that account actually has over 100k followers..any idea where are probably my likely mistake??

That was exactly my point that went unaddressed a couple pages ago - the bot really needs to have a unique feature/option on the image uploader. When this box is checked, the bot should pull images from a directory and create a sub-directory named "used" and move the uploaded images to the used folder to avoid duplication.

Just mentioning it again for emphasis that this should be added right away - especially when updating profiles pics...that's a total given that should have been standard upon release. It shouldn't be too hard of a mod for the next release.

That sounds like a pain in the ass for sure! 50 accounts...I have over 4k...can you imagine renaming and making multiple copies for that many accounts, lol!

Didn't see that you guys had mentioned on this earlier :) OK so this is definitely a major issue. @HoNeYBiRD I like the workaround, but yea, I just scraped 10,000 sweet looking images (God I love Tumblr) I want used in a campaign for several weeks on dozens of accounts.

deth_by_uv's solution sounds exactly right. I also found it strange that when I went to load up all those images as a manual source option, the software "hung" for several minutes. It should be a rather simple database query to just randomly assign X amount of files per account (different images for each account just like proxy assignment)to be used as image uploads no? And yes, there would need to be a database like the one for "likes" and "follows" for "images used". And the images would have to be assigned for every new task. So that if you run a task at 1:00 pm, images are assigned randomly to each account from the source folder, and their filenames recorded in the database, when task 2 at 2:00 pm comes around, new images are assigned with reference to the "images used database".

It should be workable I hope. I just don't think it's possible to run a truly automated effective mass scale marking campaign using images with the current set up.

Anybody else have any thoughts /feelings possible solutions on this?

it doesn't really matter how many accounts/pictures you have until we don't talk about millions
the tool i mentioned above randomizes all the pictures in a folder and batch renames them, even if you'd like to work with a few thousand pictures, the whole process shouldn't take much longer than 1 or 2 minutes depending on your specs
with 50 pics, it's just a few seconds

but yea, it would be better to see this option in the bot

I can see that happening. Was actually thinking it when I first read your post. Could be their way to stop us from doing what we do, lol.

I have the same problem. Would like to know if there's a way around it. I'm unable to view my Following List, but the number says 4,172. Do I have that many ghost accounts?? I've checked other people's accounts as well and notice that I can't view their following list anymore. If anyone knows how to access those people, let me know.

I have added a database for photos just like comment/like & follow one. And looks like did the trick.
I was able to upload on 2 different task from the same manual source, all different pictures.

New update soon soon soon :)

Fantastic. Thanked and Repped. Glad to have you on the team Friend!

So is it possible for accounts to be ghosted from following/liking? I did an experiment with some of my accounts (that turned green when ran test) and it seems that some of them aren't following or liking anything even though the bot says it is....?

Now I may be just using the bot wrong or something but I've noticed I have no where near the amount of activity on my accounts than I did before when I was using botstagram.

BEFORE: I was running multiple instances of botstagram (6 accounts per instance) and was only liking/following users from popular tags. I was running about 4 instances which adds up to 24 accounts. Running this for 24 hours would normally get me around 120 clicks.

AFTER: Now with Instadominate I am running 24 accounts with 20 different proxies. I ran the bot today with the mass follow and like tasks. I used auto scrape with 50 max results and set it up to follow 49. For liking I set max results to 230 and set it up to like 229. I started these tasks about 5 mins apart and made sure to check the split task per proxy feature. I highlighted all tasks and chose to repeat for 24 hours. After running this for almost 24 hours I only received 19 clicks.

Am I just using this bot wrong or is something going on that I don't know about? Maybe a lot of my accounts are ghosted? I also checked my accounts and only saw a few were over the 7500 follow limit so I know this can't be the problem. Is it possible my link in my bios are being ghosted for some of my accounts? Somethings got to be going on here...

Maybe I'm just using the bot wrong and can speed up my tasks with different settings?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I think this is Instagram not allowing api access anymore.... Others please jump in. I noticed similar occurrence in the last 24 hours also. Manual check of accounts from various cell phones, and they all look good ie. live url.

It seems the access api is no longer working for this or any other bot, not for Botstacrap not for Instadominate. I tried mass follow, reg follow, etc. Follows are just not going through (they show on the bot, but are not reflected in accounts)............ @rockong any input on this?

Correction: IMO it appears that the mass follow doesn't work on this software anymore... a couple of days ago it was reported that reg Follow was not working. It looks like this has been applied to Mass Follow also. Anybody else witnessing this?

Update: Well This is worrying. So after further manual checks, it seems that logging into an Instagram account, I can manually unfollow people, but as soon as I try to manually follow someone, it reports that I should update the app, when there's no updates available! I was doing mass following yesterday using "mass follow", I guess my accounts have been disabled from following. Awesome :(

yea..i think following doesnt work anymore..1 day after i made my purchase..tough luck =(

I think the best bet for everyone is to just be patient till the update for ID comes, then if there are still issues, to let it be known. We all know the IG has changed some things recently, so various issues should be expected while using the software. Let's give Botolo and Rockong a day or two to roll out this update, give the software a good test, then speak our minds about stuff not working or whatever.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the developers on this at all. Rockong and Botolo are some of the most stand up guys I've ever come across in IM. If there are API changes or new counter measures placed by Instagram, that is not their fault at all, I'm just reporting what I'm finding. Hopefully there is a fix to the problem. The cause could be anything... mass follow, accessing form same ip/device, too much activity, etc.

Come to think of it, can people please log into their IG accounts on their cell phones and/or Blue Stack player and report if they are currenly able to follow/unfollow manually please? On accounts used by bots and not used by bots.

This is just a place for us all to put our heads together and see if everyone is on the same page.
