The method is evergreen as long as people need fresh content, and the OP's post is less than a month old, so yes, it's working good. Some writing or gig sites are not everyone's cup of tea, so you'll have to find out which ones you tolerate. Also explore freelancing directly with clients through forums and email.

I have been messing around with a forum posting site called "Postloop", but it seems to be a tedious task to earn a couple of dollars.
My method in iWriter is going decently, but the articles are starting to get ridiculous and don't appeal to the average writer.
I need to find a few blogs or forums to post to for a weekly/monthly income.
That seems to be the best bet right now.
I just can't locate any really, and I don't know where to turn.

Thanks for writing this! I have been writing for 4 years and I am always looking for ways to bring in more clients. i recently made a website to hopefully promote my writing services, and I haven't really gotten anything form it yet. I am submitting articles to Ezines and to my site regularly, so hopefully patience will help me in the near future. I enjoyed reading this! I started knowing nothing and over the years have learned a lot! People that offer tips are a great asset to newbies trying to make income writing articles! Great information!

& even I am still looking for a main source of income with my writing skills as well.
iWriter was worth a shot and brings in ~$500 a month on average, but I am looking to AT LEAST double that.

Why don't you write for SEO and creative writing Companies? I have come across many companies who quite easily pay $6-$8 per 500 words. All they need is a dedicated writer who can produce high quality articles. Their Only flaw is that you'd get paid monthly but you can have a written contract with them in order to be on a safer side. Think about this.

If you're keen to improve your writing speed, a really good site is Write or Die - you type your work into the box and it times you as you go, giving you gentle reminders if you drop off the pace. You can set it to delete the work if you slack off, so it makes you really focus. As far as writing on a topic you're not expert on, it's up to you. You can respectfully decline the work or, if you have time, you can take a crash course - even read up before you give a Yes or a No. There are plenty of sites which will give you useful information in an easy to understand fashion - on almost any topic under the sun.

Have you ever worked with constant Creation? I see they offer topics to write for? Is the traffic of buyers high?

Our highschool buisness education program used this. We had to improve our WPM every week as a test grade if our WPM was under 70. I have got my WPM up to 84 now.
Make sure you use your home keys on the keyboard and keep your hand rested.
