I find it the fastest option to record quick videos to send to VA's

Microsoft does and its a good one! its called Microsoft Expression. It doesn't come pre-installed with the OS but you can get it from the MS site. Its 100% free and will record video and audio for unlimited length with editing capabilities.

I agree another good one for Mac is screenflow however it is not free.

Fraps is great although the trial version has a 30 second video limit. It's $37 which is not bad although not your solution if you're looking for free.

I would also recommend Camtasia. Somebody mentioned SnagIt. It's also a great software created by Techsmith but it focuses more on screenshots. There are missing a few nice Video features but for short clips without transitions and stuff like this, SnagIt is good enough.

SnagIt is fantastic, it allows capturing scrolling webpages and custom scrolls, to a really high quality. You have to pay for a top version though.....

Camtasia is my choice,
if you want free one, I also like CamStudio it's simple, but a little bit buggy... Was good enough for me

I have been absolutely loving jing for its speed and simplicity. Absolutely braindead simple to use and share with others. The 5 min cap on duration and no ability to edit is a bit limiting, but I have jing on all my computers and use it daily.

BSR Screen recorder works too well for me. It is flawless and the file size is pretty small.... U can get it in torrent ;-)
