Matt Cunts is a sadist who enjoys the power he has over people's livelihoods, kind of like how kids stomp on ant piles to watch them run around. We don't spam because we enjoy flooding websites, we are simply playing the game that they created, just better than them. That said, while they designed the game, we develop the tactics, and they are constantly having to adapt to US. I think Cunt's ego prevents him from seeing that, and it will eventually destroy their search engine.

In any case, this is why I now use my own bots almost exclusively, which randomize as many elements as possible along with creating as detailed pages as possible. Anybody can still get hurt, but so far avoiding the footprints of the commercially available software or gimmicks such as footer links has been working for me

I have set up several different sites in the same market. All doing different things and some not doing anything on and will see how each site responds to the new update.

This is something that I have always done. I have always set up at least 3 to 6 sites in each market and then different things to each site. So whenever updates are done I always have one or two that move up and usually only loose one site or site depending on that type of update that was done.

Google is just pissing in the wind as it always does. Im is a numbers game, as are google algorithms. A game of roulette if you like. Good sites get canned, shit sites stay afloat. Each time harsher algorithms are promised, each time they prove to be pissing in the windlol. The game of cat and mouse continues. Meanwhile.......
Ebay grows as more small businesses rely on it to drive traffic to their products, ditto Amazon.
Bing/Yahoo have a third of US searchers. How long till google is not the auto default with a big hardware supplier?
Google pisses in the wind at every opportunity, at some point it will get very wet trousers.

This is basically correct... this attitude is prevalent in every facet of what google does. They really, really like to break laws and play outside of the bounds of generally allowable behavior. They do this, until some government body cracks them upside the head, and then they pay a fine and move on (this has happened 4-5 times... so far). Google considers this "part" of making money, as the fines are almost always low (in the 10s of millions)

I agree. If google cared about the experience of their users, they would do something about Amazon. But why should they when Amazon gave google over 5 million dollars a month in ad money? What the heck is everyone else supposed to do when they are up against major corporations who have enough money to monopolize google? Or the man who makes the most beautiful creations I have ever seen from an old art he learned growing up in Poland. Yeah, google sure does want to get rid of the spammers, black hatters, etc. And they can use people like Matt Cutts to get the word out that they are going to clean things up in a big way to make them the best search engine around because they care about the experience of their users. Please. They want to get rid of us because we get in the way of the giants. In real life, there is no recourse when a chain store comes to town and another small business goes under. Chain stores are happy that they have no competition in that town and everything is just heavenly for them. In the internet world, there is a recourse. It's called US. Neither corporations nor google want US around. What would most people do if they were getting complaints like this from their biggest customers? "I give you five million dollars a month. Those pesky people are using bad things to get ahead of me. Make them stop or I'm taking my money elsewhere." Google's updates have to do with money. Corporate greed isn't called corporate greed for nothing.

Sad thing is if they keep doing this, a lot of people can loose their jobs (especially those under link building teams) when sites drop... I have seen this happening in offices for real! home based jobs and offices alike!!!

• Google came to dominate due to offering superior search results.
• Since Google's model is link-based, SEOers, of all stripes, were largely responsible for Google's superior search results.
• SEO is, in Google's eyes, now so out of control that the entire purpose of nearly every major algorithm update is to purge SERPs of SEO'd web pages. So as to.....

There is no doubt in my mind that Google's SPAM team truly believe themselves to be actively providing better SERPs. That they believe this, however, is no argument that they actually are; what it is an argument for is that they're tools.
