hi,

as a sw developer:
- i've created a binary executable file (not .exe, but it also works on Windows) that can contain any payload, like image, video, url or even .exe files
- i can send it in a facebook message, it opens immediately when recipient clicks on the link
- it starts a simple full screen browser application which displays the content / url OR it can start the payload .exe (without any security warnings, so there is no message like "it's downloaded from internet, be careful")
- currently i'll implement some security things to protect the files using strong encryption, but then i can show how this method working

what do you suggest, how can I monetize it? :) *Mod snip*

thanks

This is by no means any official statement... but I just get a sneaky feeling that if you actually deploy a way for an executable work within Facebook that you'll soon be asking where you could get a good lawyer. It just seems like it would be easy to figure out who you are unless you are very good and very careful at keeping yourself stealthed.

Just remember, you create a big splash and they will engage some very high priced lawyers to hunt you down. (Yes, I know you haven't said you are going to launch malware or anything of that sort - that is why the thread is still here. It's just that launching anything without the user having the opportunity of declining is not going to make FB happy).

Good luck... ;)

Should be pretty easy to get morons to open it. Promise nude pics, a free ipad or a billion dollars and they'll open it. But seriously tho, FB will likely sue once they see this.

Executables are deployed on user machine, not on Facebook server. No shell script used. I don't want to hack servers nor distribute malware, just to deploy a simple app that opens a webpage in full screen with my url.

As for monetization, look up pay-per-install affiliate programs

just post the exe in facebook as a bitly. there are no restrictions on posing exe file extensions

How sure are you about that, Pete? If that's true, I'd be really interested in checking this thing out...

Bro, it wont be safe. You will get a lawsuit real fast imo. But if you still want to go then you might want to try it with PPI programs.
