What are the best video tutorials to learn HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript??

Hello BHW,
Just starting in Web Dev, and want to know what are the best Video Tutorials out there to learn HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript?

w3schools is the best place to start learning. okay, they are not videos, but it's by far the best way to start. I've checked the most popular videos on youtube and to be honest they all suck, teaching you the basics wrong with inline css and all. Anyway, w3schools

The free course about HTML5 and CSS3 from Tuts+ is quite nice, same as the 30 days jQuery course. Just google it

Oh, and W3School is not quite good, as its not very correct and is bad practise sometimes (Google W3Fools)

I'm gonna go with lynda on this one.

I learned from there and the videos are all nicely organized, easy to review and practice along side.

Ya you should visit w3school first then you can have some basic ideas then you can just see some video tutorials of lynda.

Actually I have to disagree here. w3schools is not affiliated in any way with w3c and they have been asked multiple times to change their name because of it. To such extent that someone felt the need to create

W3Schools is garbage. Very bad training and flawed throughout. It is not associated with the W3 in any way at all. They simply are making themselves sound similar to W3 in order to gleam off some of their reputation. W3Schools is run by amateurs.


Best free video training I have seen anywhere is easily from Derek Banas of New Think Tank. He is a former scientist in R&D for Apple, and a former Morgan/Stanely stock broker. He now offers free video tutorials (and text on his site) on all kinds of subjects.

If you can then try to get the tutorials of lynda. You will get so much help from them. Their tutorial is very much precise. You can rely on their performance.
